This hospital is a billing scam! They charge insurances 10 times more than what their self pay rate is. Do not use your insurance their because you will end up owing way more if you just pay out of pocket. Their doctors are mostly PAs (physician assistants) so the quality of care is also very questionable. I will never go back to this hospital again.

This hospital encourages the doctors to make the money performing medically unneeded surgeries and procedure, and then protect them from a justice. The most "zelist" in making money for the hospital harming innocent people are promoted to be the leaders of the departments. This hospital exists rather for making money than following their God's given mission helping sick people. I pray and hope that Heavenly justice will close that hospital for sake of saving people from harm by doctors.

After decades of being the worst hospital in Bergen County - their reputation continues to proceed itself! Unlike Holy Name Hospital who employs the most exemplary staff in Bergen County - Englewood is the exact polar opposite! From the moment you arrive, you can see how filthy dirty it is JUST BY THE ELEVATOR in the parking garage! Forget about reaching anyone on the phone to schedule appointments - you wait on hold for hours only to then be disconnected - it's the oldest trick in the book in order to work as little as possible. It instructs you to leave your name and of course the call is never returned. Eventually I actually had to contact the administrative office to book a cat scan after FOUR DAYS! My appointment was for 8:30am! At 9am I asked the receptionist why I was still waiting only to be informed there was someone before me! Then why book the appointment for 8:30am? I asked if I could go downstairs for a blood test WHILE WAITING explaining I would be back in 10 mins which I was! They instructed me to leave and when I returned ten mins later they told me they had called me?!? You don't see this level of incompetency anywhere else! My doctor then ordered an aspiration and TEN DAYS LATER I still couldn't book the appointment! I called the administrative office to voice my deep concerns and was informed they were aware of the problems but claimed overall the hospital was excellent! Because I had such enormous and valid concerns regarding having surgery there I immediately booked an appointment with a surgeon at Pascack Valley! The surgeon at Englewood cancelled one of my appointments and never called (INSTEAD) as promised when his secretary stated. When I voiced ALL my concerns via the portal his secretary THEN called to say it was best I go to HSS or Hackensack instead! This was now AFTER SEVERAL VISITS to his office - where he confirmed he would preform the procedure, the moment he had a cancelation! It was the icing on the cake solidifying what a disaster that hospital IS and always will be! I knew from the moment I stepped foot in the door IT WAS THE WRONG HOSPITAL TO GO! The woman who finally performed the cat scan could not have been more unpleasant and unprofessional! The "attitude" at Englewood Hospital is off the Richter Scale! Everyone does as little as possible! As I say every single thing Holy Name Hospital exemplifies - professionalism etc. - Englewood Hospital is the exact polar opposite! I wouldn't take a copse there! When you talk to "insiders" you find out just how bad that hospital is! It is only a matter of time before it rightfully should be closed! Pascack will emerge as the premier hospital in Bergen County once the new facility opens next year!

Showed up with chest pains. Had to beg for a wheelchair. Had blood drawn in a hallway while a patient guest ( Not Even a Patient) closed an adjacent empty room to make a business call. No regard whatsoever for what I’m going through. I was better off taking my chances in Harlem 🙄🙄🙄

Was a pt in the emergency room and was kept in the waiting room for 3 hours!!! I could not breathe and was tachycardiac. When I finally was brought into the treatment room, I was never given o2, breathing treatment nor hooked up to a heart monitor. I came from City MD where the PA also worked for the ER and I gave their notes to the nurse. They started an IV to hydrate me and gave me something for nausea but I kept trying to tell them I couldnt breathe and no one seemed to care. After being hydrated the Dr said it was a virus and I was to go home and ride it out. That was on a Friday and I suffered all weekend long with resp distress. Went to my allergist on Monday and he was shocked that the ER didnt give me a nebulizer treatment, o2 and an inhaler. He couldnt believe had bad I was. I wouldnt send a dog there,HORRIBLE!

If you need surgery, you had better not need it during the summer at Englewood. My wife needs hernia surgery. I checked with four of the surgeons at Englewood Health and had to accept a consult appointment seven weeks later. We are loyal to Englewood Health, with my wife using it for her late stage Alzheimer's, wound care since November, 2021, and her PCP. I use the same PCP. I sent a note to the email address for Patient Care Issues and Concerns. After one week, crickets. My wife, who can no longer communicate verbally, reaches for her lower abdomen, where her hernia is located. I'm trying to take care of her the best that I can, but having to wait seven weeks for a consult, not even surgery, makes that very difficult.

Last April, 2017, the emergency room determined that my mother had metastasized cancer and did not encourage giving her a transfusion. We, however, asked for her to be transfused and subsequently took her to NY Cornell Hospital where they found no evidence of her having cancer. Now, 12 months later, she is still well, active and cancer free.
