The Moncton Hospital

My stay for 2 weeks was exceptional. All staff went out of their way to make me comfortable.

We were turists visiting Moncton. I arrive at the emergency room on foot at 10:30 pm with my wife that slip and hart her hand with a possibility of broken wrist. The nurse that received us said that there are many emergency cases this night, and put bandage on her hand. The emergency waiting room was of patients and they didn't got any attention other then a pain killer pill. During the night I try to tell the nurse that my wife suffer from pain and she need a x-ray to see if she brock her hand but she said that only the only doctor that stay in the emergency department can order a X-ray and he is busy. Only in the morning when a new shift came the nurse make an efford and enter us to the emergency area and a nurse send us to take a X-ray and from then everything go very fast. So don't arrive at this emergency at evening/night. I can add that as tourist everything was covered by our insurance with an open insurance CC. .

Unclean Moncton City Hospital . Rude staff and support workers in different depts. High parking fees for patients and vistors. ($2 per hour) :(

I am sure other units have better services. But for psychiatric patients, they do not know what they are doing, why they are doing it nor explain fully their findings to either the patients or their caregivers. Would not board my dog there. He may be worse off than when he went in. However, from experience, other units (e.g. surgical) are terrific. Depends on whether they can 'see' what is wrong with you.

i was in the hospital a few weeks ago (e.r) and i was taken into emergent care because of my heart rate. the doctor was very rude and did not believe me when i said i had certain symptoms. but when he found out i had many things wrong he was all nice. other than the the nurses were very nice and helpful

I would go here again only if I was unable to drive to another hospital. Very slow and unorganized.

I hate seeing comments from negative people who don't appreciate the free medicare that we have. If you don't like it and can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all and move to another country if you dare. Medical and nursing as well as all the supporting staff endure a lot of abuse from the general public. I have heard it many times over the years. APPRECIATE that you can be treated for free and DONT ABUSE the system. Many aches and pains only require rest and hydration at home. So let the sick people use the hospital services and stop complaining. This message is for the complainers who know who they are. I got that off my chest. Thank you.

This hospital has a nice Tim's and the care they give you is good WHEN IT's done. But this hospital is dirty looking and every time you look at the nurses on a unit/wing they are sitting on their arses doing nothing 95% of the time. I'm in the healthcare field. I understand why my co-workers want to work there so they can sit on their arse most of the day and talk. The food isn't good either.

Rude staff and they don't seem like they care there at all. If you go you are looking at a very lengthy wait time. No excuse in the world for this hospital to be how it is. It is a complete disgrace.

As an ex staff member of this Hospital, I can say do NOT go there. I tried to expose several unprofessional colleagues and ended up having death threats made against me, patients lives were risked in order to fabricate accusations against me with the full knowledge of nurse managers and HR and I was just run out of there. Most people don't know how incompetent the care given really is
