Worse ER and management of resources I've ever seen so far. Visit here if you have tons of time to wait, waste and be annoyed and frustrated.

This hospital for long term care is the absolute worst. Julie!!! She is one hell of a liar. Says they leave messages on my phone to bring patient back. Big fat lie! Then there mad because they hold patients hostage to time over the Xmas/New Years out on pass. They want 24 hour leave. For the entire holidays with family coming in from out of town only. Who signed our loved ones up for a prison. Denied to see family member. Gave his bed away, by lying and said he was told to be back at 10:00 am. No message left by Julie, manager. Yet her rude, unprofessional attitude proved she was lying to give someone else the bed. I wouldn’t put my dog in there over night, let alone a loved one. The staff are heads down and tell you, they don’t agree with the stringent policies to have loved ones come home longer. Never signed my loved one over to this hospital! Thank god! There all about getting the $3500 /person for a bed, $7,000 for two men in one room, that even my bedroom is larger than the room they put two grown men in. This place is a joke. Daniel was in that hospital three weeks. He lost over 10 pounds. He had gained 15 pounds in my care for 10 months, because he was fed well. He suffers from bad dementia, therefore forgets to eat. He was skinny when I took him in our home. Even blood pressure was bad. By time he was admitted, his weight was good, and his blood pressure was normal. Doc couldn’t believe how good he looked. Goes into this hospital three weeks, his weight goes down 10 pounds. Blood pressure pills given daily again. They think they only decide without a (reason given) why your love one can not be home for the holidays, but 24 hours, if your lucky. Don’t take your loved one there. They’ll starve them to death, as there food portions are small. They make more on rent, food and care instead of looking after the ones we put our trust in daily to care for our loved ones. We are glad “looking back” that they gave Daniels bed away. He would of died much earlier, had we not. We are not bothered one bit that Daniel is not going back. Just based on the managers lies? How would we treat him? With dignity and respect!!! Good Riddens Julie! The rest of the working staff, keep up the great job. The senior manager?? She seriously is not going to be missed.

One of the worst hospitals I’ve been in. I’ve been in a lot. Huge lack of communication amongst employees. Terrible lack of explaining procedures/diagnosis to patients. Long wait times. Easier to drive to Edmonton. Wait time would probably be the same with better care. Hospital is dirty. Needs some fixing/updating in some areas.

Auxiliary management highly resistant to a power of attorney and personal director for dementia resident viewing records and having sufficient length of visit to assess abilities and needs. Treats medical chart like it was top secret. Completely unreasonable - prevents knowledgeable discussion with family doctor. Why would medication lists, blood pressure, temperature, weight, test results be unavailable to the POA and PD to assist with medical decision making? Very counter intuitive and the secrecy is highly suggestive of hiding something. 15 months discouraged family visits - Covid excuse used for everything. No compassion shown to accommodate longer family visits (1/2 hr on a Tuesday or Thursday- now we can book a whole hour - wow!) from adult children living at least 2.5 hours drive away. Does not provide a comfortable visiting area - no chair and the “semi private room” is a corner of a private room. Personal belongings (books) found on top closet shelf (15 months later- and while disregarding the 1 hour limit) and resident is chair bound. Completely sterile environment. Lacks mental stimulation. Staff so overworked they only have time to make short greeting or offer a smile as they whisk by with other residents.

The ER here is pathetic. You will wait everytime even if nobody else is there. My last visit there was a 5 hour wait. The one before 9 hours! Rude nurses . 50/50 chance you'll get a condescending doctor that will dismiss your issue's if you aren't bleeding on the floor or have your bones busted in half. This is the way of the St.Paul ER . They're truly horrible people that have become immune to showing compassion, care and at the very least respect there. They've got none. They go in and bring home a handsome monthly cheque thats about it. Nearly dysfunctional system in St.Paul AB

Worst hospital experience of my life. Came in looking for mental health help and was left in the waiting room for 6 hours. Horrible.

Don't go to this facility as the wait times are usually about 6-9 hours. You could be the only one waiting and a nurse from 2nd floor arrives in Emerg with a sore foot (just returned from a holiday in Cuba) and they take her over your sick son who has a fever of 103.9. RIDICULOUS!!!!
