There is only one RN on staff per shift for the whole building. Although the HCA do try their best, when they have one RN to help them all with medications it is quite hard for both and the short staffing problem is a huge issue. I mean when you know you can call in for no reason and leave your staff mates short and still have a job to come to is horrible, but it is a circle they go around and around this staff shortness. Now the cleaning staff , well they should all just be replaced and new cleaning rules and procedures be put in place because the cleaning staff for one example when they wash the floors they only wash up to a certain area and stopleaving the mopping to the HCA'S Cleaning staff are out of the building by 2 p.m. I think there should be 2 shifts .One during the day if needed and for sure one at night . Kitchen and laundry are good.
