Takes a very authoritarian and inflexible stance. On my first session with her, she lectured me about her no contact rule and threaten to kick me out of therapy if I didn't obey perfectly. I told her my concerns, but she was unwilling to hear my thoughts and feelings about it.
I did try my best to comply. I obeyed her rule for 3 days straight, but I was in complete hell, all of my energy was put into trying to obey her rules, before it occurred to me that I was in pain because my needs and wants weren't considered. I wasn't being respected in this relationship. I wrote to her about it, in very well intended and open terms, hoping to have an honest discussion during our next session. She proceeded to cancel our session and put my therapy on pause and on trial because of my failure to obey her command. She denied all responsibility for her action, claiming it was her team's decision, even though the email was sent privately to her. It felt like double betrayal.
She's authoritarian, she's cruel, she doesn't own her own responsibility, she's patronizing, inflexible and she's not kind. This person shouldn't be treating BPD patients or any patients for that matter.
