I would like to sincerely thank my surgeon for the exceptional care I received throughout my gallbladder removal surgery on May 7. From our very first consultation to the surgery itself and the follow-up afterward, he was consistently professional, knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate. What stood out to me the most was his humanity and the genuine care he showed throughout the entire process. As someone who struggles with anxiety, medical procedures can be very stressful for me. He took the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions without judgment, and make me feel comfortable and reassured every step of the way. His calm and caring approach made a difficult experience much easier to navigate. The surgery went very well, and I am extremely grateful for the excellent care I received. It is rare to find a surgeon who combines such professionalism with such kindness and empathy. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an outstanding surgeon. Thank you for making this experience a positive one. I would also like to acknowledge the wonderful team that worked alongside him. From the scheduling staff and pre-operative team to the anesthesiologist, nurses, and post-operative care staff at Centre Hospitalier St. Mary, everyone was professional, kind, and supportive. Their dedication and teamwork made the entire experience smooth and reassuring. I am sincerely grateful to all of them.

Extremely satisfied with the outcome of my recent surgery conducted by Dr V. I was hoping for some improvement of my symptoms. The result: I am symptom free (surpassed my expectations). Great listener and great surgeon.

Dr. Vourtzoumis was my surgeon at St Mary's Hospital in Montreal, QC I thought he was very caring, knowledgeable, kind and at the same time very professional. I met him for the first time for a consult for my hernia. He was very helpful and he let me make the decision to operate or not. I felt very comfortable on his approach and manners and I made the decision for the operation. I am very happy I did. Dr. Vourtzoumis spoke to me before the operation in the OR and that was comforting to see. His pre and post op staff were also fantastic from the time I arrived and left the hospital!! EXCELLENT DOCTOR AND I HIGHLY RECOMMED AS A GENERAL SURGEON!!

Dr. Vourtzoumis truly went above and beyond for me. From the very beginning, he was honest and compassionate, explaining that if I wanted to undergo gastric bypass surgery, I would need to make significant changes and fully commit to a new lifestyle. With kidney disease, multiple health issues, and after being a heavy smoker for 15 years, I was not a healthy person—and Dr. Vourtzoumis made it clear that he would not perform the surgery unless I quit smoking. That honesty gave me the push I needed. I am now just over one year cigarette‑free. Dr. Vourtzoumis performed my surgery on January 20th, and it went amazingly. Since then, he has been actively involved in my progress, consistently encouraging and motivating me to keep moving forward. Dr. Vourtzoumis didn’t just perform a surgery—he gave me my life back. I have three young children who desperately wanted me to play with them and create core memories together, but physically, I simply couldn’t. Thanks to Dr. Vourtzoumis, I can now be present and involved in their lives. To my children, he is a hero—and to me, someone I can never thank enough. I am forever grateful for his support, his unwavering faith in me, and for guiding me through this life‑changing journey.

Dr. Vourtzoumis was excellent. Had a colonoscopy and everything was very simple to organize and was super smooth when I arrived. 1 hour in and out. Minimal sedation and barely felt anything. You could tell Dr. V was skilled. Very slick.

Dr. Vourtzoumis performed a laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair for me. The entire process, from initial consultation to post-surgery follow-up, was efficient with clear communication throughout. The actual day of the surgery unfolded smoothly in the hands of a clearly experienced team. I had no pain after the procedure and the healing process was as expected. I am happy to recommend Dr. Vourtzoumis.
