Dr. Kao misdiagnosed my dad for several months and gave no real plan related to his diagnoses, basically told him to do nothing (terrible idea for an older person) no physical therapy prescribed and dismissed the root cause of what patient thought was actually wrong. We decided to get a second opinion and she was unable to refer to anyone else in her network-her office had poor follow up and ultimately a new doctor stated her diagnoses was wrong and ultimately the patient prognosis ended up being correct. Unfortunately my dad passed away just before he was to begin treatment on correct prognosis. This doctor does not treat the whole patient and is too quick to rely on indefinite scans. I would not recommend seeing this doctor; she will not think outside the box. Her diagnoses and treatment plan which was no plan only made my dads worse- also she did nothing for pain management which is her job. Had she done her job my dad likely would have had a correct diagnoses and plan much sooner.
