As your partner in healthcare, Heidi Henson, DO, DABOM, meets you where you are, listens and collaborates to treat or prevent illnesses such as obesity, diabetes and osteoporosis. Specialty training in osteopathic medicine allows Dr. Henson to address the root cause so you can improve many symptoms at once. She provides customary dietary advice, personalized exercise guidance, and support for lifestyle tweaks to help stop the progression of metabolic syndrome, or better yet, prevent it from even happening in the first place. Although everything may not be addressed in a single visit, Dr. Henson is dedicated to helping you create a happier, healthier life, one visit at a time. A desire to get to the root cause of illness led Dr. Henson to pursue a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed residency training at Community Memorial Health System in Ventura, California. Her interests led to the pursuit of additional coursework through the Obesity Medicine Association at Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Henson is triple board certified in internal medicine (American Board of Internal Medicine), osteopathic internal medicine (American Board of Osteopathic Internal Medicine), and obesity medicine (Diplomate, American Board of Obesity Medicine). Away from the clinic, Dr. Henson enjoys exercising, practicing classical ballet, photography, international travel and walking her Siberian Husky, Rajah.
