She could not have cared less for her patients. Sad to see doctors like her out in the real world.

I am deeply disappointed that you were unwilling to advocate for me when I saw you last. I made it very clear to you that I have dense breasts, already had a lump removed, and they CAN NOT be detected via mamogram ONLY MRI. you straight away shut me down and refused to problem solve or advocate for me. This is severe dereliction of your oath as a doctor. I could send you many studies verifying the dilemma that many woman, including myself find ourselves in. But my guess would be that you are aware of this information and decided to put me at risk any way. I am grateful for the caring and attentive doctors I had previously in California. Without them, my lump could have grown much larger and dangerous. It's saddening that you did what you did and will probably take an egotistical response to this information, instead of changing how you receive the people you are tasked to care for.

Last visit I had there she seemed genuinely disinterested. I have also had some follow-up testing done, which she did not address.

One of the better Doctor visits I've had. Dr. Turk was helpful with my questions and provided answers or medications for my conditions.

The worst visit I ever had with a doctor was with Dr. Turk. I sincerely question whether this doctor truly knows what she is doing. My regular doctor was on vacation and I ended up having to see Dr. Turk instead. Dr. Turk was clueless to my condition and I ended up having to go the emergency room for treatment. I was clearly having an allergic reaction to a medication. She is unprofessional, dishonest, scary and clearly in need of more education. I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy and I truly question whether this doctor should be “practicing.”

To start with the positive---Dr. Turk is very, very nice. She is a good listener and attempts to be holistic. But she's not very knowledgeable. I have seen her several times over the past few years, but only out of convenience. I just didn't have the time to find another doctor. She tries so hard to be holistic that you want her to be a good doctor. But in the end she involves herself in matters that aren't her specialty and it shows. I don't expect doctors to know everything. So if she would own up by saying, "That's not my specialty, but I'll find out...", then I'd have no problem. Instead, my direct questions are met with a smile and refusal to answer! I can't have respect for anyone who tries to hide themselves this way. It's dishonest. Also, for a female doctor, she follows the medical model a bit too strictly---all black & white with no shades of grey. So there's no way she could truly be holistic with this rigidity of thinking.
