Biography

Erin Bauer, MD, is a board-certified internist specializing in general rheumatology, inflammatory myopathies, inflammatory arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. Because every single organ can be involved in many rheumatology diseases, Dr. Bauer takes a team approach to her patients' care.Dr. Bauer loves to reduce or eliminate her patients' pain and make a difference in their lives. She begins by learning how a disease affects each patient's life and then develops a treatment plan in partnership with the patient, taking into consideration individual preferences such as what a patient wishes to eat and whether they wish to travel. For Dr. Bauer, getting to know her patients personally is good medicine.In her off-hours, Dr. Bauer enjoys cooking without recipes, urban gardening, becoming a runner and the Bauer family Kindle book club.
