She is a God send. She is caring, kind and committed to helping a group of clients who are fragile and in need. It takes a kind and passionate person to work in addictions. Very experienced. I trust her decisions.

I have had several experiences with this doctor . I don’t understand the comments below other than I know that she deals with a very needy population and many people with severe addictions and other problems . Personally I have never had a problem with her. She has always listened to me and been extremely patient . I know she is very busy and tries very hard . Thank you Dr B .

I agree with the other negative comments on this page. This doctor treats you horribly and further stigmatizes you. The attitude in general at this clinic is brutal. They assume the worst of you until you can prove otherwise rather than the other way around. I ended up in a massive battle with her about being able to go on vacation and take medication with me. Brutal treatment.

Negative I agree for detox. This Dr. and others at CAMH can/are "cold" and dismissive. More interested in her vacations /social life. Not helpful and did not monitor care from intro through detox process. The culture is hide in a room, drink coffee and social talk. Poor follow up care. Super 8 or Four Seasons? Compassionate treatment costs $$. Regardless of age, dependancy or addiction, you are labelled an addict. The staff "protect" each other and/or write inaccurate reports.Ask 4 copy. Complain to Client Relations will end your care. Non profit Addiction and Mental Health Advocacy Group helpful. Withdrawal unit (clean)is stressful and also for day nursing staff. Some are bitter and play "head" games. Stay in your room, don't make friends. Mixed population of Mentally unstable and Detox so be careful. B4 committing, take a tour, ask questions and check other facilities. St. Michael's, St. Joseph's Humber, far better for detox. (Homewood Excellent (OHIP,semi-private),Bellwood $$$.

Dr. Badalato treats her patients horribly. She is supposed to be an addiction specialist involved at CAMH for people with chronic pain. She treated me with Methadone and even when it wasn't working, she refused to do anything. She had no plan of care for me and couldn't even bother to read my file before an appointment. Once I was finally off my pain meds, even though the methadone wasn't working for pain, she told me to now take a tylenol or ibuprofin - Which I already KNOW will not work with the chronic pain that I have. She consistently breaks CAMH's own patient rights policy, only sticking to her own Methadone policies when she can trump you with patient safety clauses. Also be prepared to be treated like crap by most of the staff at this clinic, they basically treat you like a street drug user and stigmatize you even more as a client. Additionally, you can't be open and honest with any of thier staff including therapists as they will share anything you tell them with you Doctor!
