Brian Yip is a remarkable clinician - suspected a torn retina and made an immediate referral that confirmed the diagnosis. Is kind and thoughtful. Would highly recommend.

Top notch optometrist. Knows what he’s doing and answers all your questions. He was very delicate and thorough checking my eyes. Only complaint is the wait times can be a bit long. But it’s worth it. He never rushes your appointment, which is probably why things get delayed, I prefer this over doctors who rush patients to get money. Overbooking is fine if you still give patients their proper attention.

I had Lasik in 2001 in my country back home. In 2007 my eyes started to feel dry and irritated. As the years progressed it got worse. I've seen about a half dozen eye doctors inside the shopping malls and a few eye specialist. They all told me I had dry eye and to use eye drops in my eye a few times a day. Dr. Yip did a few simple test and told me what was the main cause of the burning in my eyes and what could be done and what I should realistically expect. He was to the point. Appointment was delayed about twenty minutes.

He was able to improve my dry eye problems that I have been having for years. I tried a bunch of over the counter eye drops and even saw someone at the hospital and I've never really had much relief from my dry eyes until I came here. I still have dry eyes after 10 hours on the computer, but much less than before.

Dr. Yip is very friendly and helpful. He addressed all the questions and explained what would work for me and what would not. Also, he provided me more insights based on what I filled in on the form without me asking questions. He is very knowledgeable. Although the appointment was delayed, it was worth to visit him. Overall, I'm very happy that I have found him. I will definitely come back for annual check up in the future.

After going to a lasik eye clinic, came to get a second opinion for laser eye surgery. Dr. Yip explained that for my age and work, laser eye surgery may not actually help improve my lifestyle. I work in front of a computer all day and only have a mild prescription. After researching some more, I realized that his recommendation that to laser eye surgery may not be the best option was right. My appointment was delayed about 20 minutes and the office was very busy. The seating area was a little cramped, but I didn't come for the decore. Overall, I'm happy I came to get his opinion.

Had an appointment but still had to wait half hour before seeing the doctor. However check up was thorough and the doctor addressed all the questions I had without feeling rushed and in a very friendly manner. I left feeling confident about the diagnosis and having a good understanding to the state of my eyes. Overall a positive experience and will come back.

Had lasik 10 years ago and my vision seems to be a bit blurry when I drive. Saw Dr. Yip, he told me that I either regressed from my lasik surgery or my eye developed some more near sightedness due to my eye possibly getting longer. He said it's impossible to know without my prior information. He wrote a letter to the place I had lasik, asking them to scan my eye with a special machine and to see if I'm suitable for a touch up.

I had cataract surgery in New Brunswick, where I used to live. I recently moved to Toronto, to be closer to my grand kids. I had blurry vision in my right eye after the surgery. My relative told me to see Dr. Yip, which I did. After the exam, he set up an referral to a surgeon who lasered a film that resided behind my cataract implant. The vision in my right eye was sharp and glare free after that.
