Ratings for Dr. Maxwell Bryson Rogers
Dr. Rogers seams to be knowlegable but very very quick to "diagnose" and recommend treatment. Horrible bedside manner so don't expect much conversation. You basically have to force him to stay in the room with you to answer ANY questions and he will not make eye contact at all. We will see if his recommendations are useful but as of yet, I am not impressed with my visit.
Worst Dermatoligist ever. I have a simple eczema on the palms of my hands only. He prescribed me one cream, then another, and about 5 different expensive perscriptions. Then we tried his light therapy in which I went there 3 times a week for 4 months taking this cream that wasnt covered by sask health and then a pill that partially was but I had to have liver tests to make sure it wasnt harming me. Nothing worked and when I kept going back he said "well it looks like you will have to live with it" I went to a different dermatoligist in Saskatoon and a 8.00 perscription healed me up in 5 days yet I spent $550 out of pocket money on creams/pills etc that wasnt covered and tons of trips back and forth. This new doc said Dr Rogers probably puts everyone on this lgiht therapy because he makes probably 40 bucks/use. He is absolutly useless and I would never go see him again and that crook should pay me my $550 bucks back. Just useless. A doctor that "cant help me anymore".
Everyone's description of his bedside manner is absolutely correct. He saw my daughter for the first time with a hand on the door entire time, walking backwards as I spoke and was gone. Showed me a picture of what she had (flat warts), perscribed a heartburn medication as a trial run for 3 weeks that she was on for 6 months that the receptionist brought me. Then when nothing worked, went for another visit and he perscribed an acid treatment that ate her face the first day. The pharmasist was appalled and told me to stop ASAP after seeing her face and told me to try natural approach. I got my first delivery of H-Warts, made up of 5 natural oils, and after 5 weeks she is now WART FREE. No word of a lie, I had to see it to believe it. www.amoils.com. Check out pictures of my daughter's face before and after at www.wwwcrazyhousewife.blogspot.com. I won't ever go to him again, especially when he gave my 3 year old the same perscription, which is NOT recommended for children that young.
Dr. Rogers misdiagnosed me 8 years ago, which resulted in years of unnecessary suffering. After a minute of questions, he left the room and came back, "This is what you have, you will have it for the rest of your life, it will only get worse, it can never get better". In his hand was a textbook with a picture of a man, red from face to groin. Staring at the picture, I was devastated. He prescribed medications, which I have since discovered, temporarily help, but in the long run exacerbate the condition. Over a year ago, my condition became worse, so I sought a second opinion. Based on the new diagnosis the condition was abated in weeks. I waited to write this review as the condition is seasonal. Now I am convinced the first diagnosis was completely incorrect. This may simply be a warning to anyone whose treatment does not offer hope; to seek a second opinion. You might look beyond a Doctors abrupt & rude behaviour if they are effective. That is not the case with Dr. Rogers.
I waited 9 months for an appointment. He spend 10 seconds looking at my daughter's skin. I spent the first 5 minutes giving him some medical history...and he was walking backwards to the door as I spoken. Then openned the door as I was speaking. RUDE! UNCARING! He reception enterred and gave me the presciption. Dr. Rogers gave me no daignosis, no treatment, no comments, no manners. NEVER AGAIN!!! Don't BOTHER!! (THe presciptions didn't work--new dermotologist gave her relief quickly!
I waited 6 months for the appointment only to find him uninterested and no help. I told him about a prior diagnosed shkin condition (that he said he did not now about). When I tried to explain he brushed me off and headed out the door. I now find I have a serious condition that he completely ignored...thanks for nothing!
My daughter had a rash on her face for almost a year that no doctor or cream was able to help. Within 2 weeks of starting the new prescription her face cleared right up. Dr. Rogers is a bit brusque, but I was very impressed that he was able to find the right diagnosis for her and took care of it. Also booked a follow up right away.
