Dr Mahooctchi is the most compassionate, patient, and caring doctor ever!! I sometimes, as an old RN, can be a little overbearing; yet, he still took the time to listen attentively, while maintaining his composure. I suffer from elevated IOP. Dr Mahootchi has been determined in his relentless persuit to try different medications, with minimal sideffects. And we have successfully achieved that. Now that's a dedicated doctor!!!

Dr Mahootchi is generally a caring physician and is inquisitive. I wish he would read more about certain medical conditions that affect the eyes. Overall, he is one of the better opthalmologists in the area.

I'm a 57 year old commercial fisherman from New England with severe open angle glaucoma and cataracts. I wasn't happy with my eye care where I lived and planned to get my eye fixed in the winter when I we went south. I screened and interviewed numerous Florida eye surgeons for my Glaucoma and Cataract issues. They were professional, supremely competent, confident, warm and friendly. Dr. M. himself was the only one to respond to me directly and consult with me personally. Dr. M. confidently and expertly resolved all my issues and enabled me to do my daily work without glasses - which are a real nuisance on the boat in the fog, splashing and early morning light. I have decided to make the Eye Clinic of Florida my overall eye care provider. I highly recommend you consult with them before you do any eye surgery.

I DEALT WITH HORRIBLE FLOATERS FOR 10 YEARS, NO ONE COULD HELP, I FOUND DR MAHOOTCHI, I CANNOT BELIEVE THE RESULTS. I HAD BEEN TO SPECIALISTS AROUND THE GLOBE THROUGH THE YEARS, AM FROM OVERSEAS, AND WOULD TRAVEL FURTHER FOR HIS SERVICES IF NEEDED. THE CLINIC IS WELL-STAFFED, PROFESSIONAL AND THOROUGH. Best cataract surgeon ever!!! That is the only way to describe Dr.Mahootchi. His knowledge and expertise is second to none. When you add a warm and caring personality it completes the total picture. The entire staff is very warm and caring. That includes the office staff and the surgical center staff. I myself was very nervous and hesitant about having my cataracts removed. I can honestly say it was a pleasant experience. If they can put me at ease they could put anybody at ease. On the day of surgery John the anesthesiologist makes you feel very comfortable. Alicia's caring assistance helped me through this experience. My husband had his cataracts removed in Sept. 2018 at a well known cataract center. He sure wishes he had known about Dr. Mahootchi because that's where he would have gone. It was worth the almost hour and a half drive to get there. And because of that they worked with us every step of the way to make the travel time less difficult. The follow up visits with Dr. Huang were exceptional also. He is very knowledgeable and took his time answering any and all of my questions. If you are considering cataract surgery do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Mahootchi at the Eye Clinic of Fla.
