Ratings for Dr. Vern Campbell
Dr Campbell has performed a surgery on my father. I just want to thank him and his Assistant Gina for being such wonderful compassionate professionals. He is a great doctor and the way that he cares about his each single patiant is a rare and amazing experience. Despite of the language barrier that my father had , my father totally connected with Dr Campbell and felt the care and respect that he has for all his patients. I heard today that Dr Campbell is retiring soon. My father and I wish him a great life and it will be a loss for saint Michael Hospital. For his next colleague, there will be be a pair of great giant shoes to fill :-) Tara and Ali Babapour
I have cancer & chronic crygloblunemia. 2 years of chemotherapy and which necessitated heavy doses of steroids rendered my veins in bad shape. I require ongoing plasmapheresis. Creating a fiscular is allowing me some form of a quality of life. Dr Campbell is so professional & cares about his patients well being. Explaining and being available. I was so lucky to be referred to Dr Campbell as he is brilliant & a wonderful bedside manner. His EA Gina is very efficient & helpful. I was in good hands. I suffer from anxiety & this was one of the best medical experience I was blessed with. No infection. The operation was delicate and my veins very narrow. The cut is clean & I suffered no nerve damage. Dr Campbell is an asset to medicine and to St Michael's hospital. Thank you for the care and hope for being able to fight this awful illness. That my daughters have hope ... I was in the best hands. Very rare to find a specialist & doctor like Dr. Campbell. Thank you. He cares about his patients
Dr. Campbell and Gina are a one of a kind team. A few years ago my husband was rushed for a local hospital to Toronto East General where we were lucky enough to find Dr. Vern Campbell he saved my husbands life by performing vascular bypass surgery. I have yet to meet another physican that is of the caliber of Dr. Campbell. Along with his exceptional talent he is one of the most kind, caring and compasionate doctors I have ever met. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Anthony & Terry King.
Dr. Campbell - from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Not only did you save my fathers life at the age of 92, but you treated him with dignity and respect and made sure that others in the medical profession would continue to do so. Never would I have expected one of the top Canadian surgeons to find the time to call me - not once, but four times in one day, while also contacting his pharmacist, his doctor and the manager of his retirement home - guaranteeing that they were all on track. You are an extrordinary professional and it was an absolute miracle that we ended up at St. Michaels and in your care, considering what we were going through elsewhere. God Bless You and your entire amazing team also.
My mother was discovered to have a very large and ill-tempered aneurism in her belly. Dr. Campbell performed a very delicate and life-saving operation with skill and speed and a wonderful manner. Her recovery was strong and swift, and I'm certain it had a lot to do with the manner in which her performed it. It was nearly bloodless, meaning no need for transfusions or even recycling her own. His bedside manner was just right---serious but not humourless. He clearly knows his stuff inside and out, and cares about his patients. You will be very lucky if he is your surgeon.
