Dr. Bierig was my anesthesiologist during my right hip replacement and my pain mgt doc afterwards. During the surgery, the surgeon, Michael Taba of Plano, TX, fractured my pelvis and tore my gluteus muscle during surgery. Dr. Taba AND Dr. Bierig kept this hidden from me. Dr. Bierig began suggesting that all the pain I was in was imagined. That it was in my head. I wonder why? It wasn't. It took me at least 2 years to heal from that injury before my back went bad. Dr. Bierig is terrible at prescribing medication that actually reduces pain. He undermedicated me the entire time I was his patient. Thanks, but no. He needs help.

Despite having my patient and insurance information for a while month before my surgery, Dr Bierig's staff neglected to inform me that he was out of network for my insurance. They waited until approximately 2 months after my surgery to tell me. Despite requesting mediation through the Texas Department of Insurance, they are still sending me letters threatening to send me to collections (a violation of Texas law). He may be a fine doctor, but the billing practices of his company are revolting. Avoid like the plague.

I have had back issues since 1995 and had always been told nothing was wrong with me! Until I met Dr. Bierig! He diagnosed my problem and I feel 100% better.
