Dr Rees has been my doctor for many years. Yes, her office has a pile of her "readings". I don't see this a big problem. Yes, her personality can be very quiet and appears to be shy. Don't mistake this for lack of confidence or caring. If you come to her with the "victim" mentality look for sympathy you won't get it! Empathy yes; sympathy no. She is not a chatty personality but she listens extremely well, including to my "researched findings". She is very very knowledgeable and analytical. I know she is very committed to my overall health and well-being. I have had a number of different health issues. For example, I struggle with my weight (i.e. eat too much sugar!). She was very blunt with me. She said loose the weight or become diabetic! She more likely to kick your butt than hold your hand. She holds you responsible for your health. She will answer any questions you have, including explaining her decisions about my health. When it comes to referring you to a specialist she does not hesitate. She referred me to a specialist who I thought was not engaged. I asked her for a referral to another specialist whose name I got from a friend. She did not hesitate to act. On another occasion, the specialist was not getting back to me to make an appointment. After speaking with Dr Rees at 11:00 am, she called the specialist's office and I had an appointment by 1:00 pm the same day! That tells me she has excellent follow through and other doctors respect her. She is very reluctant to put you on medication unless it makes absolute sense. I could go on but you get the idea she is a wonderful doctor. Over time, I learned that she has a very dry sense of humour and that straight face has a wonderful smile. The good news is that what we expect in our doctors is not universal and thank goodness there are a different kind of doctors. Dr. Rees is my kind.
Absolutely horrible. Will not listen to anything I say, doesn't seem to believe I am in pain even though I keep coming back with the same issues. Just tries to get you in and out as fast as possible. Has lacking knowledge of current medications, procedures and terms. No bedside manner, just rude.
Terrible doctor. No manners and compassion. She is rude, ignorant and does not have any idea what she is doing. She seemed so annoyed by my sick crying baby in the ER and kept making faces at my baby for crying. So disrespectful. I have never had such a bad experience with a doctor. Horrible just horrible!
Worst doctor to deal with. Rude, impatient, ignorant and a total disgrace to the field of health care.
Horrible doctor. If you aren't a regular patient if get hers and you see her at the walk in she won't help you she tells you to wait to see your family doctor every time. I ended up in emergency because she didn't want to deal with me and thankfully someone else got me on antibiotics asap!! She's rude and dismissive!
Hands down, the WORST experience I've ever had with any medical personnel. I've heard lots of stories of her being an awful doctor but didn't think they were true, but it turns out they are. She refused to listen to me and told me I was fine AT LEAST 5 times in our conversation, then tried to go back and say she never said that. Absolutely no compassion , I wouldn't be in the emergency room unless I was concerned about something. Anyways...i now have to have a minor surgery to retrieve 3 stitches that got fully healed into my wound because she said it was, and I quote her exact words, 'nothing to be concerned about'
Don't bother going to her with any brain-based / mental illness types of concerns. If you do, be prepared for zero compassion and and a very cold communication style. Would not recommend her, particularly in a walk-in clinic atmosphere.
Had her when I went to Innisfail emergency. She is extremely rude and has absolutely terrible bedside Manor. She Made us feel like a complete inconvenience. I will never go back to Innisfail hospital ever again because of the risk of getting her. I have never been treated so badly in my life.
It is scary that she is an emergency room physician. She has zero clinical assessment skills and cannot handle anything serious. Drive to RD if you have any serious issues.
In a life or death situation where the patient knows exactly what is going on with his body, she wastes time and runs tests for something unrelated which left the patient in 10/10 pain. 8 hours in emergency in innisfail she decides to go against what the patient is telling her and purposely wastes valuable time. She was unsympathetic, uncaring, rude and just down right terrible! Her bedside manner is the worst that I have ever experienced I was so upset having to witness her examine my significant other. She curses and doesn't listen to a single word you have to say. I hope one day she feels the pain that her patients go through, and I hope she gets an evil doctor like herself to 'tend' to the pain. If she doesn't like her job, then she should get the hell out of the profession of being a doctor. I wouldn't trust her with any life or death situation. I hope she reads her reviews and hopefully changes her ways. Maybe it's too late. Evil hag Dr. REES!!!
