I went to the hospital with severe lower back pain that I had on and off for many years but progressively got a lot worse. When I left home, the only position I could be in (asleep or awake) was sitting in my recliner, leaning forward onto a pillow. The ER wanted to give me pain meds and send me home. I refused because I couldn't even walk. After being admitted and lots of tests later, Dr. Yalamanchili performed my back surgery. This was all done as COVID hit too. The surgery has literally changed my life. He was a very caring and compassionate doctor. I thank God for him and this surgery. I DO highly recommend him.

Recieved surgery on L4-L5 disc from yalamanchili in 2015. He told me he wasn't sending me to PT because he felt I'd bounce back but also told me he wasn't sending me back to work, told my job I'd be back in 8 weeks, resulting in my dismissal from my job. This all was witnessed by my mother-in-law and husband. The office staff told me I was a drug user and that it's my fault Yalamanchili's staff wasn't being paid. (Never abused drugs; didn't even want to take the pain pills) Surgery with this man has so negatively impacted my life that in 2021 I am still experiencing so many issues related. Avoid at ALL COSTS!

Went to this dr and he had my wife scared to death, told me if I didn't have neck surgery my arms would be useless. Went to another Neurosurgeon today and guess what, I don't need surgery at all. Do not use this dr.he wants to operate on peolpe just for the money. His license shpuld be revoked for insurance scam and his office staff is the most unprofessional I've ever seen in a drs. office!!

Too many lawsuits filed against him for medical malpractice should make you avoid this doctor. He doesn't provide you with sufficient information during a visit to round out your care and then rushes you out the door. His surgical techniques need refining. There are there are other neurosurgeons around. Use one of them instead of Dr. Ravi.

Dr. Yali changed my life from one filled with pain and misery to being well on my way to healing after cervical spinal surgery 2 days ago. I had seen 5 other doctors & 2 ER visits before he immediately recognized there was a problem and diagnosed the correct solution. He was calm, caring, and confident throughout! Thank you so much Dr. Yali for giving me my life back!

I’ve been with this practice since March of 2016 initially for severe sciatic leg episodes and chose Dr Yalamanchli as my second opinion doctor. He was very thorough and looked at my entire spine and found additional issues in my cervical spine. I elected to have a cervical fusion and joined pain management for my L4 L5/S1 issues. Eventually the injections stopped working and finally I was then approved for Lumbar surgery. Both surgery’s were a complete success. I had the L3-5 laminectomies and the L4-L5 Fision with one rod inserted in October of 2018. The doctor has always taken the time to answer my many questions and concerns and is very knowledgeable. Since 2016 both Julia and Jody have been horrible to work with. They are rude, do want to answer your normal concern questions and refer you to the folder they throw at you, act as if they know everything when you offer any assistance. After surgery I did discuss this with both him and his wife and sadly they know it but have to find a replacement which is critical in him keeping his practice alive. I won’t tolerate their ignorance any longer and look forward to their replacements. Excellent doctor, just needs a maid to clean house!

Please keep in mind that I was 26 years old... First surgery - TLIF L4-L-5/L5-S1 fusion. Medical records from that surgery claim I experienced “complete symptom relief” which is “complete systemic bullshit”. Four weeks later, follow up X-ray. The Coflex clamps he’s so fond of (which at that time were considered INVESTIGATIONAL devices by the FDA, which I was NOT informed of) were not affixed correctly and bone graft material he placed had migrated to the point that they were strongly pressing on my spinal cord. Emergency surgery was required (though my medical records state that this surgery was “elective”). During THIS surgery, he “accidentally” fractured my spinous process. I have NEVER experienced such pain before. When he was finished he went to the waiting room to tell my parents how the surgery went. He told them he “accidentally nipped my spinal cord” resulting in a CSF leak. He damaged my spine, spinal cord, vertebrae, ligament, muscles, intervertebral space, and considerably weakened my spinal stability - permanently. I went to George Washington University Hospital to see a fusion revision specialist - who was a magician. After the revision surgery at GW (surgery #3), my doctor there said my vertebra, intervertebral spaces, spinous processes, ligaments, etc. were a complete train wreck. It took THREE HOURS for him to reverse the damage “Doctor” Yalamanchili (Yalamanshitty) had done. Bone fragments, spinal cord lacerations, excessive bone grafting material, improperly aligned bone, you name it. Do NOT place your life in this douchebag’s hands. Feel free to look up all of his medical malpractice lawsuits via the Maryland Judiciary Case Search website. Additionally, the crotchety old lady receptionist is a bundle of joy.

Julia and his greedy wife are two of the most horrible people! Dr might be great but how great can he be that he allows his staff to be treated so horrible . They all bit extort your co-pay . I only gave a 1 because it doesn't allow zero's!

I had my c5, c6, and c7 discs removed due to moderate and semi severe herniation. I was refered to this doctor, by a friend. I can only tell you, that he is not very responsive to your concerns. The staff practically extorts the copay from you. I just had the fusion surgery 2 days ago. I have been awake for 36 hours and been in severe pain. He responded, " stating that I have to deal with the pain. " i would honestly look towards Winchester, Va. for a surgeon.
