Ratings for Dr. Alan J. Drucker
It was chilling. Dr. Draeker is Boris Karloff playing his signature role: The Grim Reaper. You don' want the Grim Reaper putting you on the medication that he obviously is taking. Also, his office is pathologically chaotic. He's not a kind of brilliant eccentric. He is mentally ill. Michael, his office manager, is beyond great. He takess pride in his work and is absolutely rhe best office manager ever. He is devoted to excellence and service. What impressed me even more is that no matter how bizarre his employer, he focuses on excellence, service and grace. He makes an art out of office management. I learned a lot from him both professionally and spiritually. Michael emphatically doesn't reflect Dr Draeker.. i just assumed that Dr. Dreaker was as evolved as his assiatant...gate keeper. A big---vast---mistake. Michael would make a gifted PA. Beware of Dr. Dreaker..
C Worst psychiatrist I had ever been to very disconcerting seems preoccupied with other thoughts no concern about his patient individually. Very quick sessions never a full hour of any attempt to help his patient doesn't look you in the eye. Very rude very unprofessional do yourself a favor find somebody else.
This guy is oversensitive and bitter. He called me only to yell at me in a very disrespectful tone and completely lost his temper because I left him a confidential voicemail telling him that he isn't taking care of me properly and that I find it unethical that I have been suffering with severe depression to the point that I can't take a shower or eat and he won't do anything about it. I apologized, told him I didn't mean any disrespect, and that I didn't mean to offend him. During the apointment following this I was hoping we could both be adults and put our big boy pants on and move on like men do. So I greeted him with a smile, a positive and respectful attitude, and I extended my hand to shake his hand. He refused to shake my hand, said get in, and kept giving me evil and dity looks. He kept getting irritated during the apointment each time I asked about a medication and got even more pissed when I told him how I felt about my condition in relation to a certain type of medication. Finally, he said now get out. What an awesome guy - he just got however many hundred dollars from my insurance for those 15 minutes and treats me like a worthless child. He must make over a million a year but humiliating his patient must be more exciting than buying a third Porsche.
Wow, I definitely do Not agree with the first comment. His staff was great, even helped me fill in paperwork when I had questions. Dr. Drucker listened to me completely. looked me strait in the eyes. and I felt he had Real Empathy. And I left feeling genuine like for the Man. He is a very intelligent person. Understanding health conditions other doctors did not. He Even Knew what Alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency Was. In Ten years only a few doctors knew. I had to tell them. He Never once made me feel less than his Equal. He seemed Both Young And Wise. He even made me laugh a few times. I only have had one visit. but He seemed to have some qualities of my best childhood friend. I think he is great. I only wish I would have known him as a kid and then I could have a childhood friend to hang with. (I have 5 that drive 150 miles to come see me one way) it would be nice to have a local one. lol. I should have asked him if he was into astrophysics or quantum mechanics. I'll ask him next time lol :) Retired Computer network Engineer . With an End stage disease
Dr Drucker appears very uncaring and more interested in getting as many patients as he possibly can he doesn't look you in the eye he does not give you feedback.he is also very condescending appears to be unconcerne.I call the office and the receptionist thought I was on hold and I overheard the conversation between the receptionist and dr. Tucker concerning me I was insulted and advise the staff that I was insulted and I had planned to move on. I was an excellent patient you spend no more than 10 or 15 minutes with him as he write you a prescription get you out of the office quickly yet I was treated with disrespect. I will never return to his office again and I will advise everyone define another psychiatrist
After reading a previous comment, I felt I must add. I called the office yesterday and was very impressed with the man answering the phone. I was calling for info, availability and cost since I do not currently have insurance. The man was so helpful and took the time to talk to me in detail. He was very helpful and welcoming. I have called a dozen psychiatrists in my area in the last week, and this was the best as far as the person answering the phone being helpful and courteous. My only reason for not selecting this psychiatrist is cost restraints, but based on the positive representation of the staff, I would choose this doctor above the too many others I had called.
I saw him in 2011. He had no receptionist. Only 2-3 visits w/him. Very businesslike. He prescribed a med at end of last visit that he did not discuss w/me or even tell me anything about, Geodon. I have never taken it. He ordered 90 day supply online and had it sent to me. I received a bill for $50 co-pay. Could not return it, did not wish to take it or think it appropriate for me nor did Dr. I saw afterward. He is arrogant and dismissive and may dislike women. I refused to pay co-pay due to expense I incurred. Very disappointed. Not recommended.
WOW I have never been to a better doctors office in my entire life. I've made about 5 visits now, and everytime the receptionist has been ready and expecting me, and has taken me EARLY!!! The receptionist also makes a 24 hour appointment call reminder which no one else has done...and I think that is why I have not missed an appointment! I had my wallet stolen and was still allowed to see doctor for my last 2 visits without having to pay my copay there and then because of the circumstances. Dr. Alan himself is a very intelligent man. He is very short and to the point, there is no beating around the bush with him. His honesty and offhand knowledge to all my questions is shocking. Since going there, I have gone from feeling suicidal and anxious to feeling normal. This is the most accomidating doctor I have been to (about 8 or 9). He does not just throw pills at me, he actually diagnosed me and made sure they were needed. -Richard Stellabuto
