Ratings for Dr. Barry E. Rabin
I see one comment below about a serious medication error. I had the same issue, and was prescribed a toxic dose by Dr. Rabin (which he later denied). He had zero interest in hearing about my condition, and wanted me out of his office in less than five minutes. Terrible, incompetent; just a matter of time before he's hit with a big malpractice suit. Don't let it be you.
I have written proof in medical records from a Dr. Barry Rabin that worked on Airlite in Elgin in 2001 that he committed a "Foul up" due to his denial of an extremely adverse reaction to a wrongly prescribed med. But rather than confessing his error to my family, the patient was made even sicker with more drugs (six, all with major drug interaction warnings). The patient was eventually weaned off all the meds. But suffered from a withdrawal induced issue, resulting in a hospitalization. And one of Rabin's coworkers at that hospital had the patient shipped to a Dr. V R Kuchipudi at a hospital over an hour from our home. V R Kuchipudi was recently arrested by the FBI for having patients who did not require medical care shipped to him, egregiously miss-medicating them, and performing unneeded surgeries on them. It appears, from all the patient's medical records, Dr. Rabin has other unethical doctors cover up his "Foul ups" with intentional and controversial iatrogenesis.
I have seen this doctor for 2 years and he is the coldest most unfriendly person I have ever met. He seems depressed and like he needs psychiatric help. He does not seem like the right person to be helping people with problems of any kind. I'm going to try someone else.
this Dr is all business, he doesn't want to hear why you are there, and was belligerent about the few sentences I did say. furthermore, he barely let me sit in the office for less than 5 minutes and was up from his seat opening the door escorting me out. So much for mental health care being so readily available and helpful. that whole Linden Oaks clinic he runs could use some instruction on, "how to win friends(patients) and influence people!" As I certainly won't be bringing anymore revenue there.
