absolute money trap!! this doctor runs a filthy, poorly managed dental practice in North Chicago that used to be the best one in town. Since she took it over four years ago, she does not stop at anything to put money as her only concern. This used to be a clean, well-run practice with caring doctors for both the military community and the the surround area. the old doctors were friendly, caring positive members of the community. This woman could care less. Always feel like she is looking down her nose at us. Always feel pressured to pay up front for services covered by my insurance. Always grossed out by the filth at the front desk. Always amazed at how incompetent and rude her front desk staff is. Always seem to have an incorrect (always erring to the over-charged side) bill. the staff NEVER knows the correct amount that I owe..always have an excuse and never seem sorry for their many mistakes. This office used to be clean and professionally run and then they got rid of their practice manager cathy and everything went downhill. As for the doctor, poor practitioner, borders on fraud as to what she says is absolutely necessary. She always seems to take forever and always inflicts more pain than necessary. She never seems to care what my insurance will pay for, and is always acting as if she is disingenuous. I Will never return here.
what a joke. This dentist is obviously more interested in seeing how much cash she can get from each patient instead of caring for your genuine needs. Since the old office manager was let go (they say she quit, but I know that is not true), this office has become all about money...bordering on criminal fraud in the way that they now handle insurance and payments. They trick you into signing what they are calling a yearly treatment agreement, and then they tell you after they have seen you that, even though you have insurance, you have to pay cash up front and then when the insurance pays them, they will ensure that they tell you and cut you a check for the difference..right. Since the above mentioned staff member left, they have been a wreck. I received bills for things I already paid, calls about money owed when they owe me money. The front reception people are rude, don't acknowledge you when you arrive, don't know or seem to care about your insurance issues. The dentist is even worse. Where the last dentist that owned this practice cared about his patients and what they needed and could afford, this dentist operates in a military community like she is a North Shore elite in a cash only practice. Military families DON'T just have $800 laying in their pockets to hand this dentist up front for payment that she knows she will get from the military insurance we have. Crooked
First visit & I was impressed! I felt welcomed as soon as I arrived. The appointment went great ( even though I am usually scared to death); Dr Charles was wonderful! Very gentle and kind. She explained that I needed to have a crown and that it would be ok. Her manager Cathy took the time to explain my insurance to me. She was very kind and patient, I had a lot if questions and was worried about how to pay for this. I will be going back for my crown abd cleaning. Will be bringing my family, too. I am so greatful I found Dr Charles and got the courageto call! If you need a wonderful dentist CALL this office! They will make you glad you did.
