I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome last summer. I've had trouble getting pregnant for 3.5 years. I then visited with Dr A for management. He spent the time in discussing how it happens and what risk factors in the family I had(diabetes) that increased my chances of getting it. He reviewed guidelines--criteria of acne/hair growth/abnormal menses. Treatment strategies were reviewed (for facial hair/periods/weight)and he guided me as to what was risky vs beneficial and potentially off label but would help me decrease weight. Today I'm 25lbs lighter and pregnant at 4 months. Hats off to him--great physician, caring guy, warm, friendly, brings information to my level.
