I was fortunate enough to be referred to Dr "the miracle " Dowd for corrective surgery to my right hand caused by Dupetryns syndrome. In short my right finger was perpendicular to my palm.Dr Dowd performed extensive corrective surgery with complete success. Resulting scarring is barley visible, subsequent physiotherapy was successful. I cannot praise Dr Dowd enough for his professionalism and skills. Unreservedly recommend him.

On the initial consultation I found him to be one of the most professional doctors I have ever encountered, being impressed by his putting me at ease by explaining, in plain language, the procedures to be undertaken and risks involved. Went in for surgery on my wrist, due to a severe needle phobia I did not have the surgery completed, Dr Dowd was very understanding and accommodating. The second time I went in and successfully went through the surgery. I would not have gone through the surgery if I did not feel 100% comfortable with Dr Dowd. Fantastic bedside manner. I would not hesitate to go back to Dr Dowd in the future if I require further surgery.
