Below is a review from a year ago. It says best how I feel. Before meeting Dr. Fischbein, I had a heart catheterization procedure which resulted in a stroke. I was lucky as it was minor, and I have recovered from it. I was then moved into the care of Dr. Fischbein. He and his team performed a much needed replacement for my aortic valve, aortic root, ascending aorta (which was dialated), and the arch. I am now 10 weeks into recovery, and have nothing but great things to write about the surgery, and recovery experience. Dr Fischbein is a well researched, kind, and experienced surgeon who has surrounded himself with extremely competent and reliable support staff. From having the surgery, and then waking up in Stanford's Intensive care unit, and moving to intermediate intensive care, I had the best competent people looking after me. I have no reservations to do this over again if for some reason I needed to. I thank Dr Fischbein and his team for a second chance at life
