Dr. Matthews was one of my oncologists. He was always on time and I felt I could not be in better care. After my surgery he would check how things were going for 7 years. Wonderful man

Dr. Matthew’s is horrible! He LITERALLY had my mom 24hrs from sepsis and death! He never sent her home with any antibiotics after her surgery, gave no instructions about changing her dressing, he told her to just leave it. DO NOT LET THIS DOCTOR TOUCH YOU!!!! I almost lost my mom!!

I just went through Oral Surgery on my tongue with Dr. Matthew’s at the helm. He, his staff, and his surgical colleagues were all pleasant, professional, and so efficient. I was told by many of the other professionals in Ward 30/31 about what good hands I was in, and I totally agree. My recovery and follow up plan is going as they had scheduled.

Words cannot describe how grateful I am that Dr. Matthews was my oral surgeon. His attention to me as his patient was remarkable. I had a lesion removed from the side of my tongue and he continued to follow up for five years until he was certain I was clear from the cancer. His check ups were always thorough, never rushed. He was always on time and genuinely cared about my well being. I couldn't have asked for a better physician.

In an effor to try to remain polite this was one of the worst medical experiences of my life. No communication after the surgery (was left in the waiting room for 2 hours). Late for family meetings. Could not admit when he made a mistake. Lied directly to me and in front of other medical staff and when confronted about it makes excuses and appologizes. Lied about surgery dates and then makes excuses about being over booked. Way slower than standard time at determining the source of complications. Average call back time after being paged was ~6 to 8 days (sometimes never!). Zero communication skills demonstrated with the patient and family of the patient. The surgery went ok. The only thing worse than the professionalism of the Dr was the support and professionalism of his office staff. Closed every Friday. Zero knowledge about where other staff members are. Rude, disrespectful. Rarely answer the phone. Barely any follow up. Long hold times. Words cannot describe my disappointment.

No result on biopsies performed. No game plan.
