Ben Hopkins completely disregards the patient and the patient's desires. He withheld data from a critical situation which corroborated what the patient was telling him, and instead misled the patient into believing the a bad pathology report resulting in the worst case scenario. He allowed the patient to be treated with a medication in patient files as an allergen after the patient had already refused to take the meds orally, providing a means of IV transference w/o patient knowledge via TPN, causing severe damaging situation. One year later at follow up exam he claimed he never read pathology report sent to him 10 days before surgery. To use a position of power and authority to take something from an unwilling victim is questionable behavior at best. There is a definition in the dictionary with a better word for this.
