Ratings for Dr. David M. Ryan
Have been going here for ten years, now I'm done, he doesn't care at all about you, you have to wait over an hour every time, and that's just in the waiting room... Another 30 min. In the little room, never remember anything from previous visits
I always waited 20 mins to over an hour to be seen at appointments, and I would be quite upset about it from time to time. In trying to figure out my anxiety and depression I was diagnosed bipolar by him and neither myself or family agree, now its on my record (BI-POLAR)and im not. He never personally remembered my conditions besides exactly what he wrote down. Ive never gotten anything figured out until I STOPPED GOING THERE, 2 yrs ago and started figuring out on my own what is wrong over the past couple yrs. Im now 99% positive i have aspergers syndrome and celiac disease and just by cutting out GLUTEN Im finally getting much better in so many ways its unbelievable as well as every thing making sense as far as my numerous problems be connected. I realize i must learn to trust dr's and i want to but ive NEVER had a good one that i like or feel i can trust that they really care. BTW im 40 yrs old and feeling better everyday, it was the other way around just a couple months ago.
Very arrogant and stubborn. Went for a hormone evalution and was told that after menopause would basically be a man with breasts. Bladder infection symtpoms..was told he could not prescribe medication without seeing me and could not fit me in so I should go to urgent care. Mammogram results sent to him and he wanted to do a breast exam before authorizing more views that the radiologist wanted to do. I quit going to him.
He is condescending along with his office staff. The office and David Ryan are too busy focusing on follow-up appointments. He is not in it to provide help in any way except to say that in the next appointment he would address the problem. I felt it was a TOTAL waste of time. In all fairness, a friend had warned me about the total lack of service.
Listens pretty well although tries to stay on schedule so sometimes gets impatient. Very willing to refer to specialists when he feels he doesn't know enough about a condition. However, he can then be very insistent about you seeing that specialist, even when you think the referral is only to cover himself from a potential lawsuit. His attitude can be a little like how a stern but caring grown-up acts toward a kid. But he seems to know what he is doing and is willing to find out about things he doesn't know.
My experience with this Doctors office is that they are seldom on schedule. Even by 9:30 in the morning they can be an hour off. The Doctor does not want to hear about any information you may have been able to find about your possible condition. Stubborn.
