I have been seeing Dr. Borst for years. I too have had issues with his staff in the past. I had some account issues about a year ago. Rebecca (his VERU RUDE office manager) was "looking into it" and promised me a resolution. That never happened. She informed me that my account would be placed in collection if I didn't pay my very small balance within in 24 hours. She also told me that if I paid it then, she would have a resolution within 10 days. NEVER HAPPENED. My wife and I had many discussions about how someone with her poor attitude and not so great appearance would be hired to handle Dr. Borsts patients. The GOOD NEWS. I had an appointment recently and I guess the good Dr. had some staff changes. The girl at the desk was wonderful, and as caring as can be. I told her of my our past experience with the staff. She spent much time listening to my experience, guaranteed me it would never happen with the new staff and told me she would look into the problem from almost a year ago and see if there was anything she could do to help. Within 3 hours she called our home and had the whole issue figured out and solved. After pondering making a move (even though we love Dr Borst, just couldn't handle the staff) we are now staying.

I would never recommend Dr. Borst. For two different procedures, we paid our share of the bill (with insurance) and his office failed to send the records requested by our insurance. Nearly a year later, we began getting bills. Apparently they had been billing us at the wrong address. It took me four phone calls with a very rude office staff member just to get the address right and let them know we hadn't received any bills from them. At this point they were threatening collections. They lied about sending the records, and lied that they had sent me the paper trail I had asked for. By the time we were able to get to the bottom of it with insurance, they had put us in collections. Tried to call to let them know insurance finally got the x-ray (10 months after treatment) and would be paying. Rebecca in the office hung up on me twice in one day. I began filing a complaint with the Florida Dental Association, only to find out he isn't even a member, although it's advertised on his web site and voice recording. They have begun an investigation. Horrible people!

At an appointment the front desk girl was very sick with a cold or flu. Needless to say I caught it. I had a crown done and I was also in extreme pain following treatment, and it took a week for them to see me again. The crown that was placed doesn't fit well, came off after it was cemented permanently. It was too long (a front tooth) and the doctor just drilled it off leaving it blunted and rough. The bite is still an issue - his staff adjusted it and my night guard without him even checking it. When I went back a week later the whole staff was sick with the flu and actually commented that I should "give them a break" as they were all sick. Close the office - don't make everyone else sick too! Truly unprofessional. Also, the hours are horrible, and the office is not handicapped friendly. Do not recommend!

Dr. Borst is very kind and knowledgeable but his staff is awful. Tina is extremely rude and obnoxious. I was called and harassed by this woman over a bill that was settled between Dr. Borst and I. It's really too bad that my experience was ruined by dealing with one person. I will be finding a new dentist.

my wife went in for a cleaning and asked for nitros. something happened along the way and was rushed to the emergency room. she was handled very well by the staff. my problem is not with the ability of the staff but the integrity of the doctor. when we started recieving bills from the hospital i asked if he would help me out with the bills. no reply from the office. went one whole billing cycle without a bill from him. 3 days after my request i recieved a bill for the treatment my wife got from him. on a second plea for help with the unexpected bills he simply waived his bill. i politly thank him and dropped it and paid the hospital bills myself. timing seems funny to me. also never spoke to the doctor directly about these bills it all went though the office staff. just seems to me that you would kind of take the time to handle this situation personally

He's a whistler. Seems pretty happy with doing his job with my teeth but pretty much ignored the patient attached to the teeth. Weird experience.

I'm not really sure why there aren't any reviews on here for Dr. Borst. Allow me to be the first. He takes care of my mom, my sister and myself. He is very caring and he does great work. I listened to my family talk about how much they loved going to the dentist. I didn't think I would ever be able to say that a dental experience was enjoyable. But with Dr. Borst it really is. I got my wisdom teeth out and was very nervous. I didn't feel a thing and with a little laughing gas, my nerves were gone also. My pain is minimal after the procedure. I also had a filling that another dentist filled but he didn't do a very good job so I had to get it re-done, and now it actually looks great. It is on my front tooth so there was a dark spot and Dr. Borst made it all white again. I could go on and on. If you're looking for a great dentist, he is the best. And I've been to about 5 dentists in the area. Never have I enjoyed a dental visit except with Dr. Borst. My whole family says the same.
