Dr. Carpenter is an exceptional doctor. He is knowledgeable, competent, honest, and caring. Our 13 year old son had a rare form of leukemia requiring not one, but 2 bone marrow transplants. Even though our son's cancer was extremely aggressive and relentless, Dr. C left no stone unturned in trying to cure him. When my son relapsed right after his first BMT, Dr. C heard about it and called us from Australia where he was on vacation. Dr. C also did an amazing job with the harvest surgery on my other son who was the bone marrow donor. Unfortunately, my 13 year old son passed away. As hard as it is, I know he died from his horrible cancer, not horrible care. Dr. C was a blessing to our family then, and he still is today (I mentor other families faced with childhood cancer, and he is quick to reply to my emails if I have a question for him). I would give him more than 5 stars if I could!

i traveled half way across the country to see this man to hopefully find an answer to what was going on with my health. Dr. Carpenter was ARROGANT, rude and made an assumption about my diagnosis before even looking at my lab results or other tests. He did the most incomplete, half ass physical exam ive ever seen, and ended up missing a diagnosis what would have been fatal had i not seen a more competent doctor. I know that doctors are only human and they may deal with a lot of hypochondriacs and people with psychosomatic symptoms, but this guy had no excuse for treating me the way that he did. does not return phone calls. He will waste our time and money and give you a vague answer when it is all said and done that leaves you where you started. Horrible experience.
