First time under general anesthesia and Dr. Desai made me feel very comfortable. He was extremely nice and had great answers to any questions I had.

Dr Desai came to see me 5 minutes before I was escorted into surgery at Humber. I was having a short 20minute surgery so did not need to be intubated. Having had this procedure before in the same hospital, I told Dr Desai to please check my old chart and use whatever anesthetic they used then as I had no problems with it. He said he would, however I got the feeling I was being humored. Everything was a rush. When it came time to administer the anesthesia through my IV it was extremely painful. I told him he was killing me. He said I’d be under in a couple of minutes. Wow that was sore. The bruise co erred the entire back of my hand and lasted for about 10 days. That was definitely not the experience I had in my prior surgery.

Only doctor at Humber who talked to me like a real person. Also this dude Did a nerve block and my ankle like stopped hurting in like a minute and was numb for a day. Boss.

had my gbp with Dr. Huynh at Humber, then had an endoscope and an inside hernia operation. By coincidence, Dr. Desai was my anesthesia doctor for all 3 procedures. I always hated going under before but i felt much better and don't get scared of procedures anymore, which is good cause i've had a lot. Dr. Desai is very funny and checked on me in hospital just to see how I was after my hernia operation. Great young doctor!

Saw this young doc in the pre-operation clinic at St. Mike's hospital. Bit of a wait till he got to me but he was very nice, thorough and made me laugh even though I was so nervous. They are all really nice in that clinic.

Dr. Desai recently looked after our daughter, who had an appendix operation at Sick Kids. He really took time to answer questions and spoke in a way we could understand. Fully recommend Sick Kids and Dr. Desai.

I think he was a resident. In any case, he was very friendly and I didn't feel or remember a thing from my back surgery. I would ask for him again if I can.
