Overall good experience for my police Psych evaluation. I came into this after reading ALL of the reviews for Dr. Forsberg, and I was nervous to say the least. Here is how my eval went: Walked in 20 minutes before I was scheduled, I was the only one wearing a suit and she pointed that out to me, so wear a suit if you are a guy, if you are a girl dress like Hillary... We were told to put our phones in a basket, we were brought in a room where we were giving some info packets, waivers, as well as a vocab test, and a block pattern test. Do not stress about this part. Just make sure whatever you put in for the info packet aligns with your background packet you filled out at your dept. She does have this packet, and the info packet you fill out is like a mini PHS. Just make sure its the same, so you don't get caught in a lie or omission. This part will take up the first hour, after that you need to fill out a 1,000 question (yes, 1,000) T/F questionarre asking personality questions. None of them are hard, but make sure you don't make yourself out to be: egotistical, selfish, antisocial, lazy, hateful, etc. Another comment someone left was to "picture everything as Disney", good advice. This test is long, make sure you EAT something beforehand. There is a Starbucks right in front of the building if you want to pick something up beforehand. After the test, you have to sit in the lobby until your name is called for the sit down w/ the doctor. She does go in order on who finished the test first. Do NOT rush the test so you can get out earlier than the rest. If you are the last person to leave, thats okay. One negative is that while you wait, you cannot have your phone on you, and the magazines provided are all from like 2017. If you are one of the last people to finish the test, expect to be in the lobby for atleast 3 hours. You really start to memorize the lines on your hands! Finally, once you are called, follow the Dr into her room. Greet her, be polite and use your manners. Do not worry about a handshake either. She will first go thru the mini packet you filled out and ask you questions on your answers, so make sure everything you write down you can articulate. After that, she will let you know how you did on the vocab and pattern test. Unless you fail miserably, do not worry about this. Next she will ask you about some of your answers on the 1000 ? test. The more questionable responses you give the more she will ask you about it. She will give you advice as well, this is where you really see her profession in action. She is an older lady who has been doing this clearly for a long time. Treat her with respect and know if you are lying. Also, she does cleary have a negative perception of alcohol. Hopefully you don't drink much, because if you do and decide to tell the truth in your mini PHS, because most of the comments here say she will fail you. She will ask you about previous drug use as well. Whatever you say, MAKE SURE it matches your background packet. Most people fail because they exaggerate something, not realizing she has a week to compare their answers with their background packet. Finally she will ask you some hypothetical questions like what would you do if you caught a co worker stealing while on duty, stuff like that. Don't rush the answers and answer like the world is Disney. Tips: Show up early (atleast 15 minutes) Eat a breakfast Bring a water bottle Wear a suit, dress shirt with suit pants, and tie at least Be respectful to the Dr, and front desk lady read every question twice If you don't know what a word means on the test, type it into the windows search bar on the bottom of the laptop, and you will get a definition without opening a tab Don't try to be perfect, ex: "Do you ever lie?" Do not say False. Nobody ONLY tells the truth, you can fail as easily as that. Watch youtube videos on what to expect, almost every state has similar practices.

What a waste. We will be filing a complaint with the state and local law enforcement.

This woman is deplorable and has ZERO business being in her field. She is a disgrace, to the profession. She is so rude, unprofessional, sits on her high horse, shuffling candidates through her office like cattle. How any police or fire department can justify using her, is insane to me. Better find out what color shoes she likes to see on people, because if you pick the wrong color, she will decide you aren’t worthy, and fail you. Shame on you Linda K. Forsberg, for abusing the role these departments give you.

If you find out that you are being evaluated by this person, do not attend your interview! She needs to lose her license. She allows her personal and racial biases against others to affect her decisions, which reassures my view that it is disgusting that a psychologist has so much power over hiring decisions. Especially psychologists that aren’t trained specifically to work with law enforcement. Employers function on the assumption that psychologists don’t have biases and will give every person a fair chance and that’s just not the case. If you are a person of color, do not go to your interview! She will make a lot of assumptions about you.

She is crazy. She used the wrong name and refused to say her real name. Everything about her and this is shady. Any department who use her is just as biased as she is. Also she has a relationship a deputy chief at a certain department. 🤔

This lady has ruined a lot of good people over the years. Her reviews speak for themselves. She should not be practicing. Most departments and agencies will not use her anymore. Refuse to see her if your scheduled.

Numerous calls to her office and no return calls. Very unprofessional, rude, and like others said should not be in business.

I agree this lady needs to be done practicing. What a joke. No merit to her failing me on my test.
