Ratings for Dr. George T. Lloyd
Wow, some of the responses here make me sick. I have been a patient of Dr. Lloyd's (and opiate free) for over 3 years. He saved not only my life, but my education and my job. We had a rough start because I was an obstinate, lying junkie...but that's to be expected. Someone else said that you have to earn his trust, which is completely true. How could you expect any sane addiction medicine specialist to trust you right off the bat after you spent months or years lying and cheating your way into a pill bottle or a syringe? He has always been eager to help me. If I ever have questions or concerns, he gets back to me as soon as he can. Always. I think a lot of people end up getting kicked out or stop going because they aren't truly serious about getting clean. He will see that, and call you out without a second thought. His program really does work though, and I am proof. He's a very smart guy, and a very, very good addiction doctor. If you want the best help western PA can offer, I suggest you make an appointment with him. I have to drive over an hour to every appointment, but it is well worth it. Honestly I would either be dead or in jail if it wasn't for him, and now I'm finishing up my junior year in college and I have a great job. Can't say enough good things about this practice, even all the nurses and secretaries are amazing, caring people.
Dr. Lloyd is an excellent doctor. He is very smart and trusting. He has helped me so much. He is very tough at first but can you blame him. He doesn't trust anyone at first, that trust has to be gained by showing him that you are working the steps and getting back your life. I see a lot of negative comments on here but I bet there's more to the story. If your honest and you truly need this program he will help you. He doesn't sugar coat anything and he is very arrogant but he has the right to. If you would see some of the people that come in there lies all over their faces then you would understand why he is the way he is. He doesn't put up with bull and he shouldn't. If you want help with addiction he knows first hand how to help and he will but you yourself have to put forth the effort! In my opinion dr. Lloyd is a fabulous dr.
Dr. Loyd is a Joke, it's real funny how he treats you, that fool was a surgeon but had got addicted to pain pills himself (look him up). So he should know EXACTLY how difficult recovery can be. Learn some people skills Dr. Likes to get high too.
Lloyd likes to play doctor and detective. possibly has personality disorder. His place to is write out a goddamn script instead he gets off to catching people in lies. He is a genuinely terrible person. He definitely doesn't give two shits about specializing addiction, that's obvious. He is exactly where he is supposed to be, with addicts. He is no better but clearly acts like he does. Sits there in his lazy boy, iPad mini and cheap sport jacket. Violating hippa. I heard many many things about one patient. The doc and nurse talking about him like I wasn't there. Guess what Lloyd....I don't buy it
Never go to him! Hes so ignorant its unreal. I was perscribed TRAMADOL for a fractured back, went to him to help me get off them. First words to me, "take off your hoodies so i can see your arms" he made me cry calling me a junkie drug addict and i was lying about my pain even tho i had the proof my back was fractured. He was completley ignorant. Worst dr i have ever seen!!
I am a recovery addict. I drove approximately three hours to an appointment with Dr Lloyd. I was referred to Dr Lloyd by the state of Pennsylvania. My community does not have many addiction physicians and I needed help. The staff was friendly towards me, apologizing for any tardiness. Dr Lloyd himself came into the waiting room to check on me because he was held up by an emergency visit from one of his patients. It would only be natural for Dr Lloyd to be suspicious of all of his patients. We as addicts know best how to manipulate our doctors and health care practitioners to obtain what we want or feel we need. So if Dr Lloyd were not suspicious of his patients, he would not be practicing best practice. Dr Lloyd offered help and encouragement to an addict who was down and saw little relief in site.
Horrible experience all around! Called me a liar and accused me of coming to him to get medicine for someone else! Absolutely insulting. Staff are extremely unprofessional - they seem to be addicts that he picked up right off the street in New Castle.
