Great physician with excellent knowledge in his field. I find him personable and great with his patients.

Dr. Allen has been treating my kids for 17 years. I would take them to no other pediatric office. There is an occasional wait when you get there, but I always know he will take time with me and my child when he is with us. If my child is in real immediate distress he is always seen immediately.

My experience with Dr. Allen was not so great. I took my son in for an upper respiratory problem and he made us wait 35 min in the exam room. When I went out to see what was the hold up, I overheard him talking to someone about restaurants and other crap. I was furious to say the least! I left the exam room and when he saw me leaving he said that he was on his way to see us. I told him that now he would be on time for the next patient since we were leaving. How dare him think that his time is more valuable than ours, especially when I had a sick child! I immediately left, asked for my copay returned and went to another doctor, which saw us and treated our problem within 15 min, believe it or not. I was happy with the other doctor's there but not Dr. Allen and because we have no say as to whom to see during sick hours, we left for good.

No one - let me repeat - no one is a bigger advocate for your child than Dr. Allen and the other doctors and staff at Blue Ridge Pediatrics. I've personally seen Dr. Allen go after another physician for what is considered SOP - it's not good enough for his kids. Here's a hint Mom and Dad. When you go n a pediatricians office and see hundreds of pictures of grown kids on the wall, you know you've got a doctor who will go all the way for your child.

Dr. Allen is a great dr. Great pratice. I was a pt. and now I have children and they go. Willing to see you on the weekends and comes to ER if it is at night. I love dr. allen Very Very pleased. Takes time in the room with you. He may run late due to taking so much time in the room with the pts. but makes you feel very good when you leave. Not scared to find out what is wrong.
