While many doctors spend a good amount of time in the office visit staring at their laptop, not making eye contact with the patient, Dr. Olarte does not have this fault. He uses a note pad to make notes, and focuses all of his attention on the patient using excellent listening skills... His skills as a cbt therapist are a cut above, and his knowledge of medications is pretty above par. I think he is a very nice person, and genuinely interested in helping others get better.

I am very grateful to Dr. Olarte for being so supportive, accepting, and encouraging as he has helped me to finally get to a point where I can say my depression is being managed instead of managing me. He is very patient and kind, and I truly feel like I can say whatever I'm thinking and not be judged. There were times when I wanted to give up on myself, and I am thankful that he was there and very clear that he wasn't going to give up on me. The staff have also always been extremely polite and helpful both in person and on the phone. I highly recommend Dr. Olarte and North Raleigh Psychiatry!
