I leave the office feeling belittled because I am older than the typical athlete. He has made repeated remarks about my age. On every visit he contradicts a statement he made at an earlier visit. I know because I write things down. He does not return phone calls from me or my insurance (Cigna) while we are trying to get a knee brace. On one visit he did not even glance at my knee. After 4 visits he admits that he no longer does the type of surgery I need. Why am I here?

Dr. Davis is our family's go to orthopedic surgeon for any sports related injury. He is professional, knowledgeable, attentive, and confident in treatment and surgery. My daughter and I have made full recoveries that have kept us playing sports at a high competitive level. The physical therapy and exercises provided have greatly helped with rebuilding our strength and agility.

Had a very horrible experience with Dr. Davis. I went to the Dr. with a minor meniscus tear. A MRI showed a minor outer tear. The Dr. recommended a minor surgery to correct it. I went with the surgery after assurances from Dr. that I will be much better after surgery. After surgery, the Dr. said that the tear was bigger and was more interior than as suggested by the MRI. My anticipated week long recovery turned into months of physiotherapy, multiple draining of the knee etc. Since the swelling of the knee persisted, a second MRI was done. The new MRI suggested that the original tear was still there. Dr. insisted that he had done a thorough inspection of the meniscus during surgery, but couldn’t find any additional tear than the one he found and fixed, but recommended a SECOND surgery to correct the original issue. As before, this time also assured a complete recovery, but I never went for it considering my experience. After all the pain, inconvenience, and fees my minor and occasional knee pain before surgery has become a nagging and a constant issue. I consulted a second Dr. who said that the original tear as shown by MRI is still there. On top of this the Dr. office has a horrible accounting system and staff that misses payments and insurance credits.

Dr. Davis is a stellar orthopedic surgeon who consistently demonstrates his knowledge, expertise, and professionalism during my visits to the Center for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. He took the time to thoroughly explain my hip joint problem and readily addressed all of my questions and concerns related to surgery. He even walked me through my XRays and MRI results and explained exactly what he was going to do during surgery. After surgery, he scheduled regular follow up appointments to ensure my recovery was going well. He has been very accommodating throughout the process and did everything he could to make sure my needs were met. He is also regarded highly by others and is considered “the best” in the field. It was a pleasure working with him and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone experiencing joint problems.

As I age I find that I need to see Dr. Davis more often! A blessing for those of us with age related pain. Dr. Davis is very clear in his assessment, surgery recovery time was remarkable, and his warm personality makes the whole experience much more acceptable. Thank you Dr. Davis and staff!

Dr. Davis is simply outstanding. He saw my daughter as a brand new patient on Christmas Eve when no other orthopedist would, after she had an unexpected injury tearing the ligament across her ankle. He offered treatment options that allowed my daughter to try to work to heal through therapy and then when surgery became the only option in the end, he did an outstanding job, leaving her with a scar that no one will ever see that lets her still wear her high heels. He explains everything simply, in easy to understand terms and instills great confidence and hope that an injury can and will heal.

I saw Dr. Davis for a consultation on a Monday, and was in Surgery by Friday. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The surgery went extremely well and he made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. I am returning to have the same carpal tunnel surgery on my other hand in a few months. I highly recommend Dr. Davis.
