Ratings for Dr. David G. Schwartz
Dr. Schwartz LISTENED to me, evaluated my situation, and was tireless in making sure I was on the path to healing. I cannot thank him, and his staff enough. Excellent
OrthoIndy appreciates that you took the time to leave a review. Thank you!
He made up his mind upon meeting me he had all the information he needed and wasn't interested in anything I had to say, pretty much blew me off and wants me to see another physician with regard to the possibility of a brain tumor. Seriously and this is based on an MRI of my neck and past 2 neck surgeries from anothet source. What I paid for was a visit for him to tell me what I already knew. He stated that he and Dr. Coscia were in agreement based on my first appointment with Dr. Coscia. Wrong. Dr. Coscia stated that in the future the probability of neck surgery would be needed and explained where the "grinding noise" from my neck was coming from.Dr. Schwartz said it was arthritis. I wanted a second opinion from Dr. Schwartz. Bottom line is this. Dr. Schwartz didn't want to get involved and my insurance paid Ortho Indy for nothing. I asked for copy of my MRI and the report. Ortho Indy charges 20 dollars for a copy of the DVD and 15 dollars for the report. Why? My Insurance has paid more than enough and it's my report. Dr. Schwartz never once asked me if I had any concerns etc. and I don't appreciate being insulted and treated like "just another number." Timothy Dicke, MD is the Chief Executive Officer and" works with the board of directors to create and implement the strategic plan to ensure the highest level of satisfaction." Maybe Dr. Schwartz would serve better to learn this from Dr. Dicke. What a waste of my time. I need to find a physician that is truly interested in the care and health of my concerns and WANTS to listen.
I am getting ready to have another surgery in a different area on my spine. I wouldn't have any other doctor do this. Dr. Schwartz takes time to explain everything to you. He makes you feel like you really matter. He did my lower back 4 years ago and I can say it was a complete success. He is excellent at his job.
I had two pre surgery office visits with Dr. David G. Schwartz before I saw the reviews of him on 2 separate sites. Our opinion of him is fantastic. He is the most personable surgeon I have ever been to. He thoroughly went over every detail, stopping to answer our questions. He never made us feel rushed and was sure we had everything answered before we left. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a very good, professional, personable surgeon.
This was the worst experience I ever had a doctors office. He didn't read any of my information, the form I had filled out for his office or the sheet I had typed out and brought in, describing everything that has happened and medications that have been tried so far. I didn't see him, until 2.5 hours into my appt and then he comes in unprepared. He had an assistant who read over my information with me, understood everything and said she was going to discuss it with him before he saw me. 25 minutes later be came in and it was bad from the start. He was a jerk. He said he didn't know what was wrong with me, but he could inject me. Really, you don't know what's wrong with me, by you'll inject me. I asked what he would inject me with, he said steroids. I had discussed my allergy to steroids with his assistant, who responded "No steroids for you!" This confirmed he hadn't spoke with assistant about me. Run...
Dr. Schwartz did back surgery on me in 1996. I followed his instructions and have had no problems at all. He was always very courteous and explained everything to me. He advised me to stay off work for 1 year. Very pleased with Dr. Schwartz.
this so called dr. told my work comp ins. there was nothing wrong with me, he sent me back to work, ! long story short, after suffering for over a year !!, i have had 5 operations to correct the damage done to my body due to motor veh. accident.that was 5 yrs. ago and i am still suffering. had he done the right thing,(being a real dr. not a ins. dr ) i could have been fixed up and back to work but due to the delay it only made matters worse. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS *****. I HAVE 5 DR,S WHO SAY THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG SO HE IS NOT WORTH THE SALT HE PUTS ON HIS MEALS.
This doctor insulted me. I was appalled at his very unprofessional attitude and behavior. I am in process of reporting to the state medical board. Steer clear of this doctor. Lucky for me I always take a hand held recorder with me to all doctor visits as when you get home, it is nice to review it so you can make sure you understood what the doctor had told you. So, the board doesn't have to believe me, it is all on tape.
