This is not someone you should go to if you have anything wrong. I went to him for 2 years and he never did anything to find out what was wrong with me. He sent me to a few specialists and they were amazing but Dr. Ray never did much for me at all except give me drugs. Told him my knee hurt for two years and finally he had an xray done. Ii have about 10 percent cartilage and the pain was terrible. The person he sent me to was just as bad he also did nothing. I then went to the University of Iowa and they gave me a shot and I have no pain now. He did give me drugs but now I know that it was too much and the wrong thing. My kidneys were getting bad and the test results show it but he just kept giving me the drugs. His staff is horrible the whole two years I went to him they never sent my medications into the right pharmacy. You can ask Hy Vee pharmacy they know me by name now because of all the problems I've had. Also he would never give me refills on things like potassium. I would have to have the pharmacist call the prescription in every month for 2 years. I discussed this with them and they thought this was very strange. This was not the only perscription I had to have them call in. One time I ran out of a pain medication over Christmas and it took two weeks to get it and I was in terrible pain. A friend of mine said it was ridiculous that had happened so I called patient advocate at St. Lukes and that just made everyone in Dr. Rays office treat me badly when I was there, even Dr. Ray. I thought this was very unprofessional.
