Dr. Walzman has operated on my mother four times. Thanks to him, my mother is still alive today. He is not only one of the best neurosurgeons in the country, but he is also compassionate and he genuinely cares for his patients. My mother had an insurance issue for one of her operations, and his staff helped us walk through it and get it all sorted. We are so grateful for Dr. Walzan and his staff! God bless them.

Dr. Waltzman performed life saving emergency surgery on my mother who had a ruptured brain aneurysm in 2017. She spent a few weeks in the ICU and then a few weeks in rehab. She came out fully functioning. She has since been seeing him for follow ups. He performed a second surgery when he discovered an unruptured aneurysm. It is visible he is excellent in his craft and extremely knowledgeable. He implanted a coil he thought would be best for my mother (with her consent), but was still pending FDA approval. Lo and behold it received FDA approval since. He takes his time and patiently listens to my mother’s every concern. He also thoroughly reviews test results and her medications list. My mother and I have full faith in him. We are very grateful to him for his work.

Dr. Walzman is a brilliant doctor who saved my life. I cannot express my gratitude to this Doctor. I believe he was placed in my life for a reason. He is compassionate and he fully explains the procedures in detail, and the best part of all he listens to all our questions and concerns. I fully have every faith in this doctor. When he said to me that “we will take care of you” I never had any doubts. Thank you for giving me another chance at life.

Dr. Walzman is a brilliant neurosurgeon and in my opinion, a very special person. I was extremely fortunate to have him as my doctor when one scary day in December I got the worst headache of my life, and was taken by ICU ambulance that night to Hackensack Medical Center from the Hackensack ER at Pascack Valley where they determined I had bleeding in my brain. When the ER doc told me I was in shock, terrified and alone in COVID as my husband was outside in the car waiting and only got to see me for a minute while I was rushed into the ambulance to be transferred. (not knowing if he’d ever see me again). Dr. Walzman’s team explained that I had a Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (SAH), (non aneurysmal) and I was in ICU for 10 days under Dr. Walzman’s care where they meticulously made sure I was monitored for a Vasospasm which would have put my life in further danger. During my stay Dr. Walzman was on top of everything and being safe and careful. I trusted him as soon as he was in my presence. It is about 6 weeks later and this week he did my follow up angiogram. I’m doing very well, and am very fortunate that things weren’t worse and a full recovery is expected. There is something about Dr. Walzman - a calm, confident yet really humble demeanor. The other reviews ring true in that he answers questions patiently (no matter what they are), never rushed me, and was always honest no matter the news. He’s a kind and a real human being with a lot of heart. I will always be grateful that Dr. Walzman is my neurosurgeon and has promised to always be. His office was also wonderful. LiSandra was a doll, and helped me in anyway she could.

Just had my one year follow up for an emergency surgery to repair a dissected carotid artery that could have easily left me with overwhelming paralysis or the worst case scenario would have been a meeting with the grim reaper. Fortunately for me Dr Walzman came to my rescue and repaired the damage with a couple of stents behind and above my left ear. Everything looked good on the scan this week and my medications were adjusted to just one full strength aspirin a day. All of my interactions with Dr Walzman - from speaking to him while awake during the surgery, to my follow up exams in his office , to this one year checkup - were handled with the utmost professionalism by someone with the best medical credentials I have ever seen. I am so happy to have met this brilliant surgeon and consider myself very fortunate to have had this repair done by him. His wry sense of humor is great too. Additionally, all the staff and assistants I interacted with at NJ Brain and Spine are really wonderful and always willing to help in any way they can.

I met Dr. Walzman at the Hackensack Meridian University Center Offices after my MRI and Ct scans were complete. He did an in depth review of my problem and set up a diagnostic cerebral angiogram in the hospital. All scheduling prescriptions, and office revisiting done from his orders and carried out thru his staff in an effortless manner. I felt someone was there if I had to reach out to them for any questions I might have forgotten. They will get back to you immediately with an answer. Needless to say my aneurism was corrected by Dr. Walzman with the utmost care and confidence in his area of expertise. He is such a phenominal surgeon. My total trust was vested in him and his staff at Hackensack Meredian Hospital. Everyone was pleasant, diligent and respectful. Dr. Walzman and his staff were there for me!!!

Dr. Walzam sent my sister back to our family/lives after she'd had a SAH, which could be highly fatal. I stayed with her through the ER visit, surgery, and subsequent follow-ups. and Dr. Walzman was absolutely wonderful. He was very thorough, friendly, and patient. He took his time to answer all our questions making us feel very comfortable and assured at the same time. Great doctor!!

Dr. Walzman saved my life! I have unconditional and complete confidence in his medical expertise and surgical abilities. He performed a total of three surgeries on me: aneurysm clipping (after hemorrhage) seven years ago and, more recently, two pipeline embolizations - each, a success! Dr. Walzman is a brilliant, no-nonsense surgeon who provides his patients with the best treatment possible. He has always made me feel comfortable and confident, even in light of unfortunate test results. He was patient with my questions, answered honestly (even when I didn't love the answer) and, at the same time, was always sympathetic and warm, and never made me feel as though my concerns were irrelevant. I cannot express just how grateful I am for having him as my doctor - he is the reason I am alive and able to say that I am now aneurysm free :-) . My family and I are eternally grateful to him.

Dr Walzman is fantastic, he saved my life when I suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm. It was a blessing that he was the doctor called in to treat me. I endured 4 surgeries and a month in the ICU at Valley Hospital. I received amazing care and I am happy to say I am alive and my life is back on track. His office staff is also top notch. Thank you Dr. Walzman! Eternally grateful, Rhonda
