I had liposuction for lipedema with Dr. Byrd in 2017 & 2018. I cannot thank her enough for the excellent intervention that improved my appearance and mobility. I have no scars from the lipo procedures to my abdomen, legs and arms. Of course I have some saggy skin... She removed FAT. Her pre care and post care was attentive. I would recommend her to anyone suffering from lipedema.

i lost a lot of weight from an accident (25 lbs.) . I didn't want to put the fat back on. I went to see Dr. Byrd and specifically asked if it was better to have lipo done now or wait until I gained back my weight. She said it was better now, while I was super skinny, so I proceeded with aqua lipo. She lipo suctioned my abdomen and back (bra fat area) I looked great after 2 weeks when I took the garment off, but shortly after and after gaining my weight back (which I was told I would for sure gain back from my hospital surgeon and due to the nature of the injury which Dr. Byrd was aware of)) , I now have canula marks all over my abdomen /stomach, sores from the canula incisions that won't go away. a huge fat, sagging roll above my vaginal area that I never had before and unbelievable fat/ sagging skin rolls on my back. When consulting her about my concerns, especially my back, she said that the sagging skin was typical from lipo of the bra fat area and there was nothing that she could do except an upper back skin lift which leaves a scar across your entire upper back. What kind of Dr. does not warn you of the possible side effects/bad results of doing surgery on someone that is trying to improve their looks. She just wanted my money. gave me terrible advise as in to not wait until I gained my weight back and could have cared less about the irreversible results that I now have to live with. She should never be allowed to perform surgery on anyone else ever again.s She needs to go back to being an M.D. and give flu shots.

I am baffled that Dr. Byrd does not have a higher rating. I made two separate trips from Canada to her clinic for surgery in the past two years. On my first trip I had two surgeries within one week for lipedema in my upper and lower legs. Right from the first phone call with Dr.Byrd, I experienced nothing but kindness, helpfulness, patience amd professionalism. Her staff throughout my experience have also been super friendly, helpful and communicative. My second trip was to have a closer look at a problem spot I had that was causing me pain near an old injury on my ankle. Dr. Byrd not only invited me back for assessment free of charge, she also performed a surgery to improve the area for me free of charge and did a touch up of her work done during my previous surgeries. Her gentle and genuine nature immediately set me at ease. I have recommended and will continue to recommend Dr. Marcia Byrd to anyone looking for a flawless service and nothing but the highest level of very personalized care. I have read some other reviews and just want to also share that I was aware of the realistic results of liposuction on lipedema. My legs used to be quite big and I am 41 yrs old so I understood that my not-super-young skin would sag somewhat after losing it's old fat filling. I also expected some dimpling. I had the surgeries to halt the disease, improve my health and reduce my pain. I did not do the surgeries to become a professional leg model..that would be unrealistic given my circumstances. I encourage people to really do their research before signing up for lipedema surgery. I did and I couldnt be happier.

I had 2 surgeries for lipedema with Dr. Byrd. I could not have been more pleased with the level of care and professionalism exhibited by her and her staff.

I have known Dr. Byrd for over 25 years and consider her to be one of the best physicians I have ever had contact with. She treated my family in general practice and has done wonders for me in the field of anti aging. You will never find a more caring or loving physician. I would trust my life to Dr. Byrd.

The worst ever!!! Please go to a CERTIFIED Plastic Surgeon unless you want sagging skin and dimples all over your body from her liposuction!!!! My body is forever ruined and she never told me about the possible results, she just wanted my money!!! She told me she would do touch ups and then never came through or acted like she offered it!!!!

Had Dr. Byrd for WAL and she is a wonderful doctor and caring individual!

Had to pay lots of money for her to ruin my body for life a after liposuction. Please use a licensed plastic surgeon and not a cosmetic surgeon.
