Dr. Lloyd is a wonderful listener, she has always given me the time to feel heard. She is thoughtful, dependable, conscientious, and treats her patients as individual as their situations. Her warm personal style made me feel like I was getting counsel from a wise family member rather than a paid professional. I would recommend her without hesitation.

My ex husband is extremely narcissistic and manipulative while I am passive. My ex had Dr. Lloyd completely charmed and she took his side on our relationship issues. I didn't feel she listened to my concerns and she just went on what he said, not what he did. He was pro at saying all the right things but that is not how he acted. Dr. Lloyd didn't take the time and effort to explore the difference and just took him at his word, which is as dependable as a con-man's word. What he did was commit domestic violence after we stopped "counseling" with Dr. Lloyd. I thought counselors could see through people with personality issues to determine the root of the problem but what I learned is that they can't always do that and that's why people like my ex skate through life manipulating people. The ones that can and should call them out don't and the manipulator continues to get positive reinforcement in the form of "advocates" like Dr. Lloyd. I ended up leaving him after the domestic violence incident (which there was evidence of), got a DVPO and my ex was still able to get Dr. Lloyd on the record rationalizing his domestic violence, saying that I had provoked it.
