I would not recommend Dr Basit to most people that I know. He was quite rude and impatient with me when I tried to ask questions. I was told by previous doctors that I had asthma and had been treated by them. This doctor was a hospital consult that didn't think I has asthma but didn't explain then what might be wrong. I was very short of breath with dyspnea and a wheezing cough. I had abnormal ct scans and chest x-rays and pulmonary tests. Luckily it was still my PCP treating me and he has continued to do so. At a post hospital follow up Dr Basit said I jiust might have some mild sleep apnea but no lung problems. A second opinion pulmonary physician strongly disagreed. He told my PCP what to do for me and was willing to take me on as a patient if I desire.
