Ratings for Dr. Mark E. Davis
Misdiagnosed my wife's post-cancer gastric problems as anxiety for several months. He prescribed addictive anti-anxiety meds that were effective at masking the gastric issues, but the pills, of course, did not treat the root cause. Finally, he relented and scheduled her to see a GI specialist in another town (I get the feeling he doesn't play well with others in Marion). After the gastric issues were identified and were being treated, he sent us a letter stating he would no longer be our physician. I wouldn't recommend him to others, although, it seems like most of his patients like his practice. Not particularly a fan...
I absolutely adore this doctor and all his staff, my family of 5 just transferred to this practice from another Marion Dr. and haven't looked back since. We are greeted with smiles upon checking in, the staff is super friendly and courteous and Dr Davis and Joanne are very knowledgeable, understanding and welcoming. We aren't just a number to them, they care about our problems and have great bedside manners. This is a HUGE change for us, coming from the other doctor. We are very grateful and thankful to have found this doctor, and look forward to many years with this practice. For the people with complaints I can not testify to how this practice was years ago but as of right now in 2009 we love him and couldn't ask for a better doctor :D
Less than impressed with their medical and office staff. This Dr wanted to put my daughter under general anaesthesia just to remove a wart instead of referring her to a dermatologist. Then I went in for a bout of strep throat and got into a disagreement with their office staff because the Dr agreed to fax forms to me and the office refused, the next thing I knew my daughter was dropped from the practice. This Dr is not worth anyones time, they are punctual but the amount of time spent w/ patients and the fact that they don't keep their word nor have any consideration for the patient is not worth anyones time overall.
