Dr. Labarge is great. She’s straightforward but not unkind—in essence, she talks to you like you’re a competent person. I appreciate that. She is always willing to help or explain things I have questions about. However, it is the rest of the staff that bring down the experience when I have appointments with her. I find many of the nurses/nurse assistants to have poor bedside manner that starts off every visit on an unpleasant note.

The doctor is very nice and knowledgeable but the follow up is terrible. No one calls you back with test results. You have to figure out the results on your own. You request a call back and no one calls you back. They send you an email saying everything is fine. Well I'd like more details on the tests I have questions.... its very frustrating. I feel like they pay you to see them instead of you paying them. Debating on switching doctors based on how the office is run. Its hard because the doctors are good and the office is run like a zoo.

I had a Robotic Hysterectomy with the worst post surgical care possible. I was a pt of Dr LaBarge at Midwest Center for Women's Healthcare. To start the Park Ridge office staff is rude and to busy talking to each other than making the paying patient feel comfortable. Immediately after surgery my post op pain in recovery and then at home was never under control. As a patient and an RN, I know my pain needs but her Resident didn't "feel comfortable" with giving me the pain medication that works for me but what she felt was adequate, who cares about the patients pain, I glad she was comfortable. When I called and wrote a message on the patient portal about my pain control I never spoke to Dr LaBarge or did she bother to call me or discuss my issues at my 2wk check up. I was instructed to not use my core for 6wks(10lb limit) and then was released to go back to work. I have an extremely physical job and needed some Physical Therapy to get my core strength back. When I called to speak with Dr LaBarge her RN, Ann, took the message. In a return call I was told that Dr LaBarge stated that I had a standard surgery and didn't need any other time off. As a nurse when my patient tells me something I respect what they say. I didn't know that the doctor knows how I feel or what I need. Again I stated I wanted to speak to the doctor and never received a phone call back. Dr LaBarge doesn't care about her patients only the money that she makes. I definitely am no longer her patient.

Dr LaBarge is absolutely wonderful! She is exactly the kind of doctor I need. She didn't baby me at all, which I love! I appreciate her matter of fact approach and felt 100% comfortable with her delivering my baby! She made me feel extremely important to her and advocated for me when the on-call OB at the hospital was trying to push me to make a decision I was uncomfortable with. I couldn't recommend her enough!

Dr. Labarge acts like she knows everything and when you ask her why your feet are swollen she will say that its because you are pregnant and to just deal with it. She also is very rude and doesnt treat her patients important. She told me once that she already had 4 children. Im not sure what her pregnancies had to do with mine. She acts like taking patients is an assembly line and lets get them done.

Allowed patient to go 2 weeks beyond due date. No anticipation of size of baby. Allowed patient to deliver baby more than 11 lbs. which caused tissue paper thin uterus. Did not listen to patient complaints during visit(e.g. complaints of nausea initially..response "you're lucky that you're not nauseated" My skin feels like it's tearing.."those are just stretch marks" No they weren't they were actually skin tears)
