Ratings for Dr. William J. Platt
Doctor Platt has been my personal GP doctor for 25 years. While it is true that he frequently ran late, I always got the impression this was because he was delayed in making his rounds at the local hospital...which meant he was serving his serious patients. Occassionally, the wait in the waiting room was absurdly long, but he ALWAYS would make certain he got to you, even working through his lunch hour! An attentive doctor, he would give you samples from his supply closet to see which worked before writing a prescription for you to have filled. He and his staff were very generous in this manner, supplying those without insurance some much needed meds for free, with the understanding that more would be needed. I never EVER felt that he was unkind, or unfeeling, and so reject any claim below that he "took needed meds away". That's not him. However, if he felt you were abusing, or selling your meds to someone else, he might suspend your prescription...as any good doctor should! It is a shame that he ran afoul of pain-killer addiction that has cost him his practice, but his personal experience has probably made his super-sensitive to the issue and concern with others. I always felt he had my best interests at heart, and I will miss him. We had such a good rapport. He will be missed.
Love him with him 20 years and always listened, compassionate, do wait sometimes but when I need him I am glad he takes the time so understand others need time too. very sad he is no longer in practice, He does not mess around if he doesn't know he will find out or send you where they will!
wait on him for hours.never on time.somedays hes in a good mood and others days just down right moody.he dont go in depth on your condition, and only half listens to what is going on with you.very forgetful.sometimes sympathetic to your pain and other times he just dont care.not very nice to people without insurance.very unpredictable doctor.wont think twice about takeing away your meds that helps you
