Run the other way. Worse service ever. I tried to make an appt as I was seen slightly over 3 years ago. Some how they stated they didn't have my information but they were able to see when I was last seen. SMH! They didn't want to schedule my appt without getting my insurance information first then call me back if i was accepted to schedule. As someone who works in Healthcare for over 15 years makes my feel a little concerned. Are they just trying to see how good my benefits are to use me for my insurance before they accept me as she said? What's to accept ive been seen before. You obviously have my records. Front desk has no customer service etiquette. She acts like she runs and owns the place. I had to find another endo because if I have to spend a dime on a doctor I sure want to make sure I feel worthy and not as if they are paying me to put up with that attitude. They need to be reported. This is a numbers game to them not patient care. Once I saw all the previous reviews I realized I wasn't the only one who feels this way. Says a lot about this practice.

The lady at the front desk helped bring me to Jesus in the waiting room... because I've never believed that Satan was real until I met her. She wakes up and chooses chaos. She refused to fill my mom's thyriod prescription for a week because she was "too busy", lied to my face, then tried to charge me $20 to fax Walgreens the prescription. After a week of my mom trying to get her necessary mess, I stood in the waiting room for over an hour while she condescendingly called me "sweetheart" and continued not doing her simple job. I'd feel sorry for her if she wasn't such a deliberately awful human being toying with the health of their own patients. Dr. Stephan continuing to employ her will be his downfall.

Terrible people working front desk. Never call you back and tells you to find a different doctor.

This doctor charged $450 for the 1st visit - I had to pay around half that because I have a high deductible insurance policy. I opted to not go back to him and went to a VERY well known and trusted endocrinologist at BCM instead. I paid less than half that, and found out much more about my medical issue, and dealt with staff that seem to genuinely care about your situation. When I seemed shocked that he thought I would need surgery, he backed down and said we could take a wait and see approach. My new doctor said it would be very detrimental to my health to wait on surgery. I could barely hear half of what he said to me - he is very quiet. Dr. Stephan's staff is rude - you can tell they could care less about patients. When I called for a follow-up appt, all they cared about was me paying the remainder of the bill. I did so, but they charged me $30 too much and haven't bothered to call me back. They act as if you are such a bother. Never again! Don't go to this doctor - there are too many good ones out there to be treated like this.

I have seen Dr. Stephan twice I have a very bad experience both times. The first time I was in his office from 9:15AM and could not leave until 12:50PM. The second time was from 2:00PM to 4:00PM. The bad thing is the whole office, no one care when I had told them I have another appointment after his appointment. The front desk was to give me an explanation of the bill that I paid for that day, they did not give it to me. When I called back, they told me that I have to "remind" them. I have never experience this attitude before. The second time I came in, the receptionist told me that she was just a receptionist, and she could not answer any questions about the paper that my insurance requested (I had requested twice before on the phone and faxed to them what was required), then she went in and take my blood pressure and weight. Was she really a receptionist or was she a nurse? Doctor Stephen went over his boundary when he tried to check my eye blood pressure and make me take the sleep apnea instrument. He is not a primary doctor, he should had recommended me to get it done with my family doctor. I told him that I had my eye checked in July and the blood pressure in my eyes are okay but he did not listen and put me in a dark room for over 2 hours so he can check my eye. I called my ophthalmologist and she told me that this way of measuring the blood pressure is not accurate. I will not come back to him or recommend him to any one. The nurses were rude.

I am gettign ready for surgery and thought I would come in to see Dr. Stephan before having the surgery but when I called to schedule, they refused beause they say I owe them 10.00 for them having to write a script that they failed to renew during my last office visit then failed to write correctly, not once, but three times after that.

I've seen Dr. Stephan for the last 8 years or so and he is wonderful! He is very detail-oriented, up-to-date on the latest diabetes trends, and he encourages me to take charge of my disease. The only thing bad I have to say, is that he no longer accepts my insurance, so I am still looking for a replacement. I don't think this will happen.......I have never met an endocrinologist as wonderful as Dr. Stephan!

Dr. Stephan is a wonderful, caring and knowledgeable doctor. The wait to see him is always terribly long, even if you are the very first patient. The front desk staff are rude and definitely not professional. The staff in the back, however are usually quite friendly and helpful. If he replaced every single person at the front office and removed the extreme wait times, this would be a wonderful practice and I would happily give it five stars all the way around. However, if it were the front staff throughout the practice, I would warn everyone away and never step foot in there again. I do hope the doctor reads all these reviews and does something to resolve the issues they have.
