I am in health care and this is the worst office I have ever dealt with. I was sent for a procedure that I didn't need, had to call for the results and the nurse on the phone was spelling the medical terms because she could not pronounce the words. I called in for a refill on a prescription and Dr Cook stated he could not write a refill that I needed to "seek professional" help. I thought an MD was considered professional but I must be mistaken. I can't believe he is still in business....don't even get me started on his christian/cult website.

This is the most less then mediocre office of ever been to . How can you be a doctors office and not be able to drawl blood ? Smh and how are you going to write a prescription to me as a patient when you don't even know what that prescription does to someone taking. If my knowledge of medicine is higher than yours that's terrifying . I highly recommend to not go to this doctor.

I have been Dr. Cook's patient for almost ten years, and he is a wonderful doctor. I never have to wait more than 5-10 minutes to be called back for my appointments, and I feel that he always performs a thorough evaluation of my health and history. The entire office staff is kind and compassionate. Last fall I happened to develop pneumonia. Dr. Cook prescribed medications that had me feeling better in a few days, and he even offered to let me borrow a nebulizer to take home for the weekend in case the inhaler he prescribed did not relieve my symptoms. If you are looking for a thorough, knowledgeable physician give his office a call.

My daughter is a student and needed an appointment as a new patient. Very impressed that Candy was able to get her in at 9:15. However, my daughter did not have her insurance card and when Aetna faxed it and 9:19, they mysteriously did not receive it. In the meantime, my daughter was sitting in the waiting room, not feeling well and they would not even allow her to complete the paperwork until they rec'd the fax. Aetna called and spoke to the office manager to verify benefits. Toni said that was not acceptable. Toni lied and said that my daughter didn't have an appt and had just walked in. She said they were unable to see her bc they were busy. I think they just wanted to leave early on a Friday. I find it hard to believe that the doctor would not have seen her. I'm guessing he does not know how his staff treats patients!

Another reviewer here mentioned that Dr. Cook snapped at a nurse, and that he has a brusque demeanor. I don't doubt that that happened, but bear in mind that one of the nurses at his office is basically incompetent, and I almost cursed at her myself. Specifically, she messed up a test sample and didn't know how to spell some very common medications like ibuprofen and sudafed. And she didn't know what phenylephrine (an OTC decongestant) was. But please don't let that damage your opinion of Dr. Cook. He can be a little brusque, but not so much that it's offensive, and its hardly ever even noticeable. In short, Dr. Cook is intelligent, thorough, and compassionate. Every part of a visit to his office reflects this, and I will continue to recommend Dr. Cook and be a patient for as long as I live in the area. I have had some very good physicians, but Dr. Cook is the best. He'll take good care of you and your family.

I think he is a bit to quick in prescribing anti-depressants, and especially ones with known and significant side-effects. One thing that I find particularly disturbing is his career manifesto (see his web page) - I would rather have him spend a patient-centered work day as opposed to "God-centered workday". "God is the one in control" - the last thing I want is his imaginary friend to be in control of my health. I am kind of disappointed in his superstitious leanings - he is supposed to be a scientist after all.

Dr. Cook is the most compasionate and caring doctor I have ever met in my lifetime. He is the most thorough I have ever seen as well. He really knows his stuff. I have never met a doctor like him. He can look at you, watch the way you move, the way you carry yourself and he knows immediately what is going on with your body. I saw him after an auto accident for the first time, about 8 years ago in Arkansas. I hated it when he left us to return to Georgia, his home state. He is sorely missed by a great many people here and we still speak of him even though he is gone. You people in Georgia are darned lucky to have this man.

This doctor may have a gruff edge at times, however he really does care about his patients. He is firm in ensuring you acknowledge, accept, and begin the proper treatment. I truly respect this doctor.

This doctor's bedside manner is appalling. He used profanity when ordering his nurse to hurry up (in my presence). He was quick tempered, rude and disrespectful. Do no see this doctor if you want to actually have a say in your treatment plan. Do no see this Dr if you are looking for kindness, compassion and christion behavior. He quotes scripture and professes to look to God everyday on his website. His bedside manner was not at all christion like. I paid him nothing, because I told him he wasn't the Dr for me.
