Seriously find someone else yikes!!! I really wish I’d read all the negative reviews and not just the positive ones. If all goes well Dr. Basner seems to be great but in the unfortunate event your surgery results yield issues know that he will take zero accountability and will not help you address them in any way after surgery. This was my first cosmetic procedure and I chose Dr. Basner due to the reviews I saw which were mainly positive. I put full confidence in him and I wish I could say that everything was wonderful. Upfront he seemed to listen to my main concerns in regards to the surgery and then added a few additional recommendations. My primary concern was mild asymmetry in my nose and a small dorsal hump, I wanted the nose straight and the hump removed. Dr. Basner a additional recommendation was to also narrow the nose for a more aesthetically pleasing look. I agreed with his recommendations and proceeded with the surgery. No complications were involved with the surgery and within a week I had the splint removed. Everything looked great, but I knew it would be some time before normal breathing through my nose would resume. I waited patiently to feel “normal” again, however after seven month I am still unable to breathe through my nose. I am constantly having to breathe through my mouth which causes dry mouth, I have trouble sleeping due to breathing issues, have constant headaches, and I am nasally and feel congested 95% of the time. I called to book an appointment with Dr. Basner to discuss these issues and the response I got was more than disheartening. Most of my sympotoms were minimized by Dr. Basner and he was completely dismissive of my concerns. He told me I could either have an aesthetically pleasing nose or a nose I could breathe out of, and that he has a narrow nose and breathes out of his I was beyond floored and said well breathing is more important to me. He said well since your issue is with breathing you should go see an ENT and have me a referral and that was it. I cannot fully describe in words how frustrating and disheartening that I will be going to get second opinions from ENT’s and other surgeons and hopefully find some relief but I would never recommend Dr. Basner to anyone. The lack of empathy and willingness to help his patients after surgery is not something you want to see in a doctor. I had no issues breathing before this surgery and they are severe enough to affect me daily. Do yourself a favor and make sure you find a doctor who will be there for you not just before and during the surgery but also afterwards.

Dr. Basner is the ultimate professional. He is a top notch surgeon and masterful in his abilities to transform the human form. Besides his surgical gift, he is fair and provides an honest consultation.

Dr. Basner is the best of the best! I have had multiple surgical and non surgical procedures with him, and I could not be happier! Not only does he have 25 years of experience, he is also honest about what he can do to help you achieve your goals. He has a friendly, laid back bedside manner that makes you feel at ease. I have sent many family and friends to him- highly recommended!!

Unprofessional, egotistic, and was only kind and caring when I agreed with him. Once I started having complications he was quick to wash his hands of me and become aggressive. I was left with not only blotched results, but Dr. Basner refused to fix the errors, which should have been covered under revision. Follow up appointments are a joke (I was unable to walk and he could not see me for a follow up for well over a week due to being too booked out with surgeries. This resulted in me ending up in the ER.) He did not even bother to call and check on me. The staff are extremely rude and unprofessional, and he made extremely inappropriate comments up to and including "no one will see you naked anyway."

Dr. Basner couldn’t have done a better job with my nose! Not only was he incredibly kind, personable and attentive throughout my entire experience, but he gave me the perfect nose for my face. He listened to my concerns and explained exactly what he would do to address them. Everyone at the Plastic Surgery Center of Maryland is wonderful - you’re in good hands with Dr. Basner!

I found Dr. Basner on MD.com his pictures in his gallery and consultation is what made me choose him. I had breast augmentation and my areola's resized. The results were excellent, I'm very pleased. I was referred to Dr Basner from a friend who had also had her plastic surgery performed there. He makes you feel comfortable, takes the time you need and is very knowledgeable. I am still in the process of healing but am loving what I see so far. His staff is very friendly and super accommodating.

While I was considering rhinoplasty, I researched reputable plastic surgeons in my area as well as friends recommendations and Dr. Basner was at the top. I decided to go in for a consult and found not only was/is Dr. Basner friendly, knowledgable and detailed, his staff was/is also very accommodating and friendly! I felt so confident with my choice in doctor I scheduled my surgery that day! 4 weeks later my surgery was a success. I have a very natural looking nose that I couldn't be happier with. The most important thing about getting any type of plastic surgery is finding the right doctor. Dr. Basner is it. Had neck and mini face lift. He did an awesome job. It looks very natural. Knocked off 10 years. Yeah! The whole Basner team are awesome . Very professional and have great bedside manners and very knowledgeable. I also get Botox and fillers from Dr Basner.
