Dr. Ellenbogen did my daughters Chiari decompression surgery three months ago and she did very well. She has to have another surgery due to an accident she had and we will be seeing him again for the surgery. He was very knowledgeable about her condition. He was very direct and to the point. I would recommend him to anyone. He was amazing with my daughter and listened to what she had to say about how she felt. We have to travel from billings, montana to seattle to see but the trip is well worth the care we recieve from him.
Dr. Ellenbogen is the most compassionate doctor I have ever met. He has done amazing things such as donate his time to operate and save a baby gorilla at the zoo. He was able to diagnose me and find me a specialist to help my specific problems. He is AMAZING
Dr. Ellenbogen show a geniune concern for my 9 year old son. He called me the day that I sent him an email. We had to travel to Seattle from Albuquerque to see him and to have the surgery. He found a fusion of C1 to the base of the skull which he corrected. He answered our questions promptly and took the time to explain the MRI's so we understood what was happening to our son. Thanks to Dr. Ellenbogen my son is a happy child again.
The doctor was extremely compassionate and spent a great deal of time with me, but ultimately what he told me and what he wrote in my chart were completely different. Now I'm still waiting 3 months later for a referral for followup, when he told me I needed "urgent intervention to stabalize my condition". I have placed many calls to the coodinator who keeps telling me it's being "taken care of". Also, since he did not write in my chart what he told me, SSI and vocational rehab have the wrong information which endangers my benefits. I left thinking he was the best doctor in the world, now I feel like I've been abandoned.
Dr Ellenbogen spent an extensive amount of time with me but woefully failed to properly diagnos my problem. I eventually went to another neurosurgen than diagnosed my problem within 15 minutes of seeing my MRI AND PERFORMED SURGERY commenting on the excurciating pain I must have been in. Seem like a nice guy, but he sure did miss the boat on my issues.
Dr. Ellenbogen is awesome, caring and knows his stuff! He is a well-respected authority on Chiari malformations and I would have had him do my surgery had my insurance company decided to pay for the specialist instead of a general neurosurgeon. As a result, I will have to have my surgery redone, hopefully by Dr. e!
Dr. Ellenbogen takes very good care of me. He stays on top of the progression of my Chiari case, and uses great thought to determine the safest, most appropraite course of action at the time. He is the best neurosurgeon I have been to. We travel from Spokane several times a year for treatment. You can trust him. He is a good man.
He did a wonderful job of treating our sons Chiari malformation. He decompressed him several months ago with wonderful results. He's the only doctor our son will allow in the room with him without screaming. He's very knowlegable and did a wonderful job of understanding our 2 year olds pain when every other doctor ignored it in a non-verbal child. The other neurosurgeon we saw did not believe it causes pain where Dr. Ellenbogen listened to everything we had to say.
