Larkin Foot and Ankle Institute

I ordered a pair of custom orthotics from Dr. Larkin to address a lingering foot issue. I am a self pay patient so I asked for the price upfront. He confirmed that the price would be $550. This is a lot of money for me but it was one of the few remedies I had left. I offered him the inserts that came with my sneakers so that the new orthotics could be tailored to align these dimensions. He declined to accept them citing that he could adjust the new orthotics if that was necessary. The orthotics were mailed back to his office so I had to return to pick them up. The orthotics were a full inch longer and wider than the original inserts so they didn't fit in my shoes. The nurse asked me for another $75 to have them modified and I asked to see Dr. Larkin. I asked Dr. Larkin why I wasn't informed about the additional charge when he quoted me the original price and he couldn't give me a good answer. The bait and switch is dishonest and reflects poorly on Dr. Larkin. I do not recommend him
