Great experience at this rapid access clinic. The team was professional, highly organized, and everything ran smoothly despite how busy they were. I felt well taken care of and truly appreciated the efficiency and quality of care.

Date - 01/11/2024. - Walk-In after ER referral for Derma issue. Dr Singh showed no regard for my 2+ week long suffering and multiple ER visits and told us he will not treat me and asked me to leave. I was sitting in front of him so vulnerable and begging him over and over to pls help me. He went on dehumanizing me and lecturing me. He needs to be taught basics of patient care. I wish no one has to go through such a mistreatment.

I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Singh who quickly diagnosed my condition as poison ivy. He was willing to do two little skin biopsies to put my mind at that. It was indeed poison ivy. I left my home at 4:35 in the morning as I live far to be here in time as patients are sometimes turned away because of the amount of people. I am very happy that I was able to use the rapid assessment for the blisters, etc., on my body and quickly get diagnosed. Dr. Singh is very efficient and the office is run very well. S Ward

All anyone every does is complain. So let’s recap the main complaints: - Wait Time. - Being turned away before 11am. - Having a rushed service. - Only being able to ask 1 question. First and foremost, Dr.Singh and his staff DO NOT have to offer the rapid access clinic service. We are unbelievably lucky yo have a dermatologist in town that cares enough about people to offer this. Most specialists take appointments only and you have to wait MONTHS. Yes, appointments are quick but Dr.Singh is kind and actually listens as well as fully explains things to you (more than most specialists). OF COURSE, you can only ask one question, how else would he be able to offer this service in the first place?? You people need to get off your high horse, If you don’t like the quick service then trade in the 2 hour wait time and quick appointment for a 3-8 month wait time with a doctor who you KNOW doesn’t give a crap about you. At the very least Dr. Singh cares enough to even offer this amazing service to people who would otherwise not have any quicker alternatives. Don’t like it? Don’t go there. Simple as that. Do us all a service and make the wait time even shorter by keeping your pessimistic opinions to yourself. I’ve never seen a clinic like this (who goes above and beyond to offer a walk-in service when they don’t need to) get so many unnecessarily bad reviews.

For all the complainers about waiting outside and being rushed, think about the fact that the doctor doesn’t have to offer this service. He does it and works 12 hours a day because he actually cares. People are waiting to go into a walk in clinic because they CAN’T get an appointment with another dermatologist for months even years. Dr Singh is professional, thoughtful and as efficient as he can be knowing that there are more and more people showing up at 5 am for an appointment. 5 stars for just providing this service and 5 stars because he’s a great doctor.

I’m forever grateful for such service in TO, especially to Dr. Singh who works tirelessly for days to provide patients who need this medical help. After having been to this clinic a number of times and seeing people getting frustrated at being turned away due to lack of availability, I feel I must explain their position. Yes, on the website it states that the RAC is open from 8am-11am but it also advises people to get there early as there are always people in line waiting to get a time slot. This is how it works, they open their door at 7am to start taking walk-in appointments that are filled in throughout the day, between appointments that have been previously booked by other patients by their family doctor. When all of the time slots are filled for the day, even if it’s before 11am as stated on the website, they have to turn people away as they can no longer take any more patients. Yes, I’ve been turned away and yes, it was very frustrating and disappointing. That being said, you absolutely need to plan your visit and know that you need to be there early. Sometimes we have to wait for great service.

Sadly this is the option we have for a fast dermatologist in Toronto. Cold temperatures, people lining up outside for a good hour. Receptionists are impatient and ask you to wait outside. Then when you finally enter to see the doctor, the appointment is sub- standard. Will I ever be at Avant ever again? No… seriously think about before going to this clinic

The doctor rushed and never once looked at me. I had 3 things I wanted to ask him about, but he told me - while staring at his computer screen - "Very busy. One question only." He glanced at a photo of the rash on my phone but never looked at me. Couldn't care less why I was there. A dreadful experience.

I would like the relevant authorities to pay attention to check how this clinic operates and treats patients, mostly relating to follow ups. It seems that they are most concerned about patients' reviews, and not the service itself. They quickly explain the mistakes or shortcomings they made either with the past pandemic or with the general crisis in medical care in Ontario. And never admit their mistakes. All these latest five-star reviews have been honestly puzzling . They have time to respond to reviews, but they do not have enough time to fulfill their direct responsibilities, like providing timely and useful information without rushing, if there is not a some kind of pushing from the patient. They don't send copies to family physician if you don't ask them to do it.

Most efficient and effective services I’ve ever had in health care. This team is excellent at keeping everyone moving quickly through the que and treating everyone individually important and kindly. More clinics should model themselves from these professionals. Dr Singh and his staff helped me with such patience and care. I didn’t feel rushed or judged and my concern was treated that day. Way to go Avantderm!!!
